    In theory yes, but it honestly would probably cost more then buying one and be more expensive. Also, there are many parts you need that you can't get on iFixit, such as screws and clasps. I mean you could probably find the parts on eBay but it wouldn't make much sense. Also it would only be possible on an older Macintosh 2001-2014ish as now they are all one board and such.

    This post is from r/techsupportgore and it's a school computer that some kids wanted to see what the CPU looked like so they tried to pull it off but they were pulling on the cooler and didn't take the retention clasp off so they ended up ripping off the socket
