  1. Budget (including currency): £600 Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Watch Dogs 1 & 2, GTA V, Witcher 3, CS:GO, Rocket league, Adobe Premiere and streaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 1440P 144HZ I have all peripherals and a current system: I currently have a 1070 ti and i5 8600 in a h310m-a MBD in an Inwin 703 B/R, 2x8gb 2400mhz DDR4, 480gb Kingston UV500, 1TB Seagate FireCuda, 2TB Toshiba HDD, ID-COOLING FrostFlow 120 and Corsair TX550M. I am wondering if running a 1070ti in SLI will mean I won't have to do a full upgrade for longer, I would have to buy a new MBD and PSU but I could double my Ram and have more m.2 and pci-e expansion. Seeing as I can't get a new graphics card at the moment I am thinking of maximising the potential of my current PC with these upgrades: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/m9mbRT I am soon doing a playthrough of both Watch Dogs games and play GTA V and Witcher 3 occasionally, all of which go over 60FPS or improve significantly with SLI, I don't know if I should wait for graphics card availability and buy a new system or go ahead with this upgrade. Thanks in Advance!
  2. There is 8gb, 2x4gb (Dual channel) gives you better performance. It's Also cheaper to buy 2 4gb sticks separately than a pack of 2x4gb sticks

  5. Thanks for your help guys, I don't think I can spend £550 on 144hz freesync as my only upgrades
  6. The only thing is I already have a 32" 60hz va, won't it look weird next to that
  7. Hi all, I am looking for a 32" monitor on amazon.co.uk or from pcworld.co.uk with freesync as gsync(must have) 144hz (must have) not curved (must have) VA/IPS panel (preferably) So far the only one I can find in this category is the LG 32GK850G which is over £550 https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-UltraGear-32GK850G-B-Monitor-Diagonal/dp/B07RTXQ2HN/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=LG+32GK850G&qid=1576329958&sr=8-1 Thanks in advance!

  9. Thanks, I hadn't seen this one before, looks ideal
  10. Hi there, I am looking for a monitor that is 120hz+, qhd/4k, gsync compatible (or freesync into gsync), good image quality and dark room performance (va panel?) 27-32" <£400 This is mostly for CS:GO and would be replacing a 32" 60hz VA samsung TV, so I want to get a higher refresh rate and resolution without sacrificing image quality quality or screen size, Thanks in advance!
  11. UPDATE: Windows event log still won't start and doesn't appear in services.msc anymore
  12. HWINFO Screenshot attached Corsair TXM550 (wasn't in screenshot), I am having various troubles relating to the same problem. I sometimes turn off this PC by holding down the power button (I did not realise this was such a big issue until I researched the problem I'm having). It began when one day I turned it on to see it automatically run CHKDSK, which I cancelled because I needed to use the PC. I then let it run a few days later (It does it automatically every time) It found that there were some registry errors and windows event log cannot be started. The system sometimes freezes up so that I have to wait 30 seconds for it to unfreeze and games crash, saying that game files are damaged even though I have repaired many of them. Most recently I ran Windows memory diagnostics which found no errors after which the PC restarted with error 0xc0000001 and then after a minute it restarted again and went into windows fine. I have no idea what the problem is or if it is mission critical but running sfc /scannow or the automatic startup repair found this error: Name: Check for installed LCU Result: Completed successfully. Error code = 0x3712 Time taken = 2578 ms Let me know if you know whats wrong, DISM finds no errors as well.
  13. Hi, I play mostly CS:GO and rocket league, I have an i5 8600 and gtx 1070ti currently delivering to a 32inch 60hz samung VA tv, I am upgrading in the next few months to a 144hz or higher display (I can't find any 120hz for sale in the UK) After watching a comparison of 8 cheap 144hz 1080p monitors, I decided this one was the best: https://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-XL2411P-Sports-Adjustable-eQualizer/dp/B075JGL4WV I want to know if going from 32 to 24 inches would be a big difference and if there is a similar monitor for the same price at 27 inches or 32 inches. Also please keep in mind I will use this for a lot of content consumption and so I would pay a little more for better brightness and colour. Thanks in advance!
  14. I have i5 8600 (very similar to 9400f in games) and a 1070ti, this PC will do very well in Apex and other games, but you might want 16gb RAM (depends on budget)
