  1. Really? I haven't considered a replacement since, Its a relatively new laptop purchase, it worked fine not showing any signs of fault. I rememeber i did a windows update, and things started feeling weird after that, few weeks after the update i had to do a system reset because the update wan't so compatible. After this the Wifi was working fine, few months later and this just happened where the wifi option went missing. Laptop is a Lenovo Ideapad 320. Im still trying to get to the BIOS option for diagnostic. Heres the video i saw which seemed to show all the methods i tried, in HP laptops they have this option to do a components diagnostic which when triggered found and got the wifi card recognised by windows again. https://youtu.be/6KKufRKvjzg
  2. Hey there, I have a Lenovo laptop in which the wifi was working fine, then one day the wifi option just disappeared from my laptop. I checked device manager, and network in control panel the Wifi adapter and option was missing. It doesn't show up in windows 10 network settings, only ethernet is seen as available. Here are some of things I tried: 1. Go to device manager scan for hardware changes - it didn't detect the wifi card. 2. Go to Lenovo support website and download latest wifi network drivers, installed - nothing changed 3. Physically checked if the wifi card/adapter was connected well to the laptop motherboard - it was connected fine. 4. Go via BIOS to do system components diagnostic - This option seemed to be the best as I'd seen it produce good result for my problem, but my Lenovo laptop didn't have that option, I was only able to get into the BIOS, and the windows troubleshooting screen, not to the diagnostic page which id seen (granted that was for an HP laptop) OS: Windows 10 Laptop company: Lenovo Please do help me out with this problem as soon you can, I'd really appreciate it
  3. Hi All! I own a Lenovo K6 Power as you can already tell, in which the Data functions were working without any issues. A few months back I started using 2 sims instead of 1. Since one carrier had faster internet and better connectivity than the 1st. Still using the 1st SIM for calling and 2nd SIM for data. Occasionally I would switch to the 1st SIM for data when my data pack was over for the 2nd SIM etc... So one fine day, I was switching back to SIM 2 (Sim I use for data) (Normally when you switch SIMs both deactivate and reactivate with new settings ie SIM 2 for Data). So while this was happening like usual it took a few seconds to switch SIMs in the midst of this I suddenly got a call... Which I was unable to answer till the buffering animation left my screen. When that did get over... Both my SIMS were set to EDGE 2.5 g when they were always recognised as HSPA 3G and 4G LTE for SIM 1 and SIM 2 respectively. Now I am unable to attain the speeds I used to, it is just barely usable now... I then tried the usual troubleshooting (Airplane Mode on/off, Deactivating / Reactivating SIMs, Swapping SIMs physically from their slots and Finally Rebooting...) Now when I recently tried doing the same my 2nd SIM which I usually use for Data appears as SIM Card Not Ready... However, when I individually insert SIM 2 it is read by the phone But still, whether I individually insert the SIMs or together the phone recognises both the SIM cards as 2.5g EDGE. They used to be HSPA 3G and 4G LTE. But now I can't use Data on my phone which is the major problem... Please Help
  4. Hey all! So my friend recently said that his keyboard on this laptop wasn't working for a while now and he said he might've dropped it. So the lights on the keyboard have stopped along with the keyboard function itself he was managing with the touch keyboard... I said it might be a loose cable, so I found the loose keyboard cable and firmly reattached it to the motherboard. After having done that I secured all the components back to the laptop. Then I tried powering on the laptop with 70% charge and even with the charger plugged in.. Then the laptop power led would turn on for a split second and the keyboard lights flashed for the first time in a while (meaning the keyboard is working again) and the laptop just wouldn't turn on after. I have tried using the reset button to the side after that then powering it on the same would happen. I also tried removing the battery and powering off just from the charger but still no result. Please Help!!!!
  5. Is that the only thing that can be done? What about updates would uninstalling a particular recent update help?

  10. Hey All, I was recently in a rush to switch off my phone but accidentally turned it on again... So instead of waiting all the way through the start-up when the Samsung logo appeared I pulled out the battery and put it back in so it would switch off. I only tried to switch my phone back on later at night, and realised it didn't switch on. I thought the battery was low so I left it to charge for a few hours... Went back to check, the power charging indicator hadn't shown up and the phone didn't start either. The wall power, plug and USB cable are fine as I tried with other devices but my phone just won't start Its been two days and it still hasn't turned back on.... PLEASE HELP!!!
  11. This is a really nice and compact computer. I've always had the enthusiasm towards computers and pc hardware, I've been a subscriber to tech tubers especially Linus tech tips for a very long time. But I've never got the opportunity to show my knowledge by building a pc. So I feel that if I win a bare bones kit is a good place to start. Note: I am capable of building a PC but just not been given the opportunity to do so. Thanks for this giveaway, and for letting me enter. All the best to everyone. BlazeMike
  12. Linus could you make a video about: the new intel versions of CPUs that have come out. After haswell, Devil's canyon, skylake.... And their corresponding chipsets... Is it extreme ? what socket ? and so on... It would really be helpful. Thanks, Stay Epic, BlazeMike
