    Hi sorry to bother anyone but i have a server with Windows Server 2016 Essentials Installed on it, my main goal to use the server for is Active Directory to join all my computers together in the home. But except for the server the other computers are small 2 in 1's and don't have lan ports, I currently can't/don't know how to connect them over wifi. The sever is connected by both LAN & Wifi. Does anyone know how to do this i would appreciate it so much! Plus the routers in the home also don't support WPA-2 Enterpirse Or 802.11n there simply home grade routers. But i wouldn't think this would affect it. The other laptops are running Windows 10 Enterprise.

    It's the router is provided by an ISP in Australia (i dont want to say much more) The router is manufactured by Sagemcom the router/modem has pre-installed ISP Firmware which as you might guess is pretty crap, But i know and so do many others the router contains Sagemcom Firmware in it which can be installed on the router, I would like to gain access to these files maybe compile them into working software for the router.

    Hi, i have a router which is have telnet access into it i would like to be able to use telnet as well as busybox to copy the router/modem's disk, but i don't have much nologe of linux busybox or telnet. Is this possible and if it is how could i?

    Thank you for your comment, And i sure am still looking into ways for this. And your are certainly right with running software like pfsense in vm's when on a small home network.

    Thanks to everyone replying to the thread i want to say that this thread is now useless, and replaying to @kirbyTech i am but The Unifi AP lite in $ AUS is over $100 which i dont have the money. I will look into making my own small compact system for pfsense but thank you to everyone that has helped me here.

    To answer everyone i only want to use pfsense for security the router we use is very unprotected and not secure for my liking so i needed a small solution for the network and i know that is a router and i don't care if i had 5 routers in my network having 2 is fine So if it is possible how does it work and how could i achieve it?. Thank you all.

    I'm quite new to pf sense but i would like to know if i can run pf sense in virtual box and use it as a WiFi router even if i have to share my WiFi card as a type of hotspot, But is this even possible and do i require Ethernet? I've tried to look things up for this but i can't find an answer so i thought i would ask on here.

    This inst against you LTT your guys are awesome, This about a new App! We all know that most of the big companies like to exploit user data or sell it to advertisers, and well thats not very private is it, Well i'd like to change that, i would like to create a web app/ app with the community thats just like snapchat, instagram,facebook & messenger, but is focused on the community and is focused on PRIVACY, of course this app wont have the look of snapchat, facebook, insta or messenger, but it will feel like it I want the app to feel clean fast and private, And one of the best! Myself doesnt have much in the coding department (i only know basic html) this is why im asking the community i want the community to create something we all want together.     So i currently have an API but i dont have much idea of how to set it up, I'd really appreciate any help on how to set it up.

    Thanks for the help, I have sucessfully set up the second router with a Vlan Setup with the main router, all traffic now flows through from the second to the first, But i have a slight issue my internet connection drops out now and then but wont reconnect when the second router is still plugged into the wan any ideas why?

    Sorry I know this is old but really need the help, so should I disable dhcp and Nat on the second router because now whenever the main router drops out (looses it connection to IInet) and tries to reconnect it takes forever until I unplug the second router, if anyone could answer this it would be amazing

    hey i just signed up for an account hopping that someone could help me, I just recently switched my internet to IInet in Australia, now i have a spear router from my past ISP, so i was wondering if i can use my NetGear Powerline adapters to connect both routers to each other, If anyone could help id much appreciate it.
