  1. Seem like Finalmouse has quality control issue as well ( scrollwheel, fading colors at button click after 2,3 months)
  2. When it comes to online shooter games, all of these factors affects ur perfomance - FPS: Yes, definitely, higher fps allows faster reflect Couple with high refresh rate is the way to go if you are competitive type of gamer - Latency: Yes, it prevents unregistered hit, delay, rubberbanding. - Input lag: most of gaming monitor, mouse, keyboard have low input. It's probably not as important as the above. \ - High refresh rate: allows you see things clearer, less blurry so it helps your vision in fast paced shooter. A simple method to test how high refresh rate and low input lag: https://www.humanbenchmark.com/tests/reactiontime Try 10 times, click as fast as possbile in 2 diff setup: 60Hz, normal mouse vs 100/144/240Hz gaming monitor, gaming mouse In my case, my result is clearly faster when i do this test. One from my office computer , one from my gaming PC. Lol, I reacted 50ms faster with the gaming PC.
  3. - Disable full screen optimization , override display scaling on Application - Run ISLC - Optional : use Razer Cortex, it's good - Advanced: use LatencyMon to check for bad services/drivers that cause cpu spike - Monitor the frametime, not framerte for stuttering
  4. Been playing Dota 1 and 2 for almost 20 years lolz. Dota 2 has complex gameplay with unique game mechanic. Obviously, it's not possible to understand it fully just by playing 2 games. Even though the meta change time to time, you actually will understand most basic things in 2,3 months. I suggest you take a look at https://www.dotabuff.com It covers most of basic things you need ( current itemization, meta, builts, strength and weakness of each hero and their counters
  5. Of course there's nothing to worry about it. It's just annoying to have many apps Currently I have Battlenet, Origin, Steam. I will uninstall Battlenet soon since I dun play CoD BO4 anymore.
  6. They deserved the credit. Steam platform itself has much more features than others, including Epic, Origin, Uplay. I'm ok if the game is available on all platforms so we have the freedom to choose where to buy it from.

  9. Lol 3D technology. Remind me of those mobile phone with 3D screen years ago.
  10. Been playing FPS games with mouse and keyboard for 25 years. I only use controller to play such games like Fifa, street fighters or GTA.
  11. Consider Steelseries Dex if you dun need a large mouse pad. Easily one of the fastest mousepads thanks to the honeycomb surface.
  12. It's light. It matters the most to me but the RGB is so fugly.
  13. It's hard to fit all of your requirements. But you need to try PUBG because: A) Modern setting B) Because of its unique gameplay, infinite running is needed C) Everyone play on the same server. PUBG learning curve is quite steep so it's sth you need to be prepared D) It's slow paced and allows alot of room for tactical thinking. Another the game you can try is Escape from Tarkov. Both games are the best for its genre ( in my opinion).

hey I saw your comment on a person having issue…

yup. I can help. Tell me more about ur situation ( issue, games u play, your spec, OS, and what steps you alr tried)
  15. Short answer: it's bad for muscle memory. Anything that is not constant and stable is bad for muscle memory. Long answer: If it works for you, you can keep it. But if you want to improve in higher level, first thing you can do is to turn it off. The learning curve can be quite painful at first, but it's worth the effort.
  16. G502 is good for general use. If your dpi is 400-800, probably you should look for sth else that is lighter.
  17. Micro stuttering , stuttering has nothing to do with high FPS. It's normal that you reach 200 FPS, but occasionally down to 40 every few minutes. Use LatencyMon to check what cause stuttering Proper way to check for stuttering is by using MSI Afterburner , and log the frametime graph.
  18. 1. I think mechanical keyboards just feel too big and too clunky. Mechanical keyboard got nothing to do with the size actually. It's about the switch, the keyboard comes in many size , more than you can imagine. It can be 75% like KBD75, Vortex Race 3 It can be 60% like Poker 3 It can even be fullsize but is much smaller in size. For example: XD75RE It can be much smaller than that. 2. how can people type on a keyboard with so much travel It actually depends on the switch. Such switch like Cherry red has very short travel distance. There are more than 30 diff kinds of switch for you liking. I'm sure there are some switches for you.
  19. To me, sound quality is not the most important factor for "gaming" headphone. It needs to be light and comfortable, especially when you game for long hours ( 3 hrs++)
  20. lol honestly , Something telling me that you never play online fps competitively. Nvm, we can end the discussion here since we dun play the same games, we cant share the same view.
  21. can I ask what games you play now ? and what current DPI ? FPS gamers wont care about "bajillion buttons" anyways. Most fps mice only has two extra side buttons. Let's put RGB factor aside cuz it's not relevant to discuss here. Wireless mouse is light btw, like the G pro wireless I'm using now. It's 77grams.
  22. First of all, to answer to question: - to the point i could mark spots on my desk, and as long as i dont lift it up, a point on my desk will always represent the same point on my screen -> I dun really understand what you mean ? Of course if you don't move and lift up, it should stay the same position ? - please explain me why no one uses bog standard HP mice for gaming? Hmm u know optical sensors also have variety of model right ? The best one in the market right now is PWW3360, HERO, TrueMove1 and they are optical. Secondly, about Laser Vs Optical - Laser sensor is not preferable in gaming world, because it's too ACCURATE, to the point that it tends to pick up more detail than necessary. This is the fact: Almost all top gaming mice are optical. Laser mouse usage does not exist among pro gamers https://prosettings.net/cs-go-pro-settings-gear-list/ 3rd, Light vs Heavy - The majority of competitive fps gamers use low sensitivity (400-800 dpi), you need to move your hand ALOT. Therefore, light mouse is much more efficient since it wont stress your hand too much The fact is: most pro fps players prefer light mouse. Check out the link. https://prosettings.net/cs-go-pro-settings-gear-list/ It's all about fps genre. If you play other game genres, any mouse will work. I'm glad your mouse works for you in games, it's all about personal preference but do let me know what kind of games you play, and what dpi you are using, I probably can understand why you find MX series mouse is good.
  23. High FPS is not a proper benchmark when it comes to game smoothness. As an extreme example: in 999 milliseconds, your framerate goes up and down, but in the last 1 milisecond it reaches 60 , it will still show 60 FPS as a final result. It's called micro-stuttering. It's the reason why you feel very smooth when watch 60fps video, but feel laggy when u play game @ 60 fps In order to check for micro stuttering, u need to check for frametime. - Install MSI Afterburner - Select frametime, show as graph - Play a game and check for the log. If your frametime is low consistently, ur gameplay is smooth. - If the frametime go up and down like heart rate graph, it's stuttering in game.
  24. Try steelseries DEX, best of both world. It's hybrid pad that got feel like cloth and easy to wash like hard pad
