iCoExist got a reaction from Windows7ge in Help with Proxmox Networking (US Dedicated/IP Aliasing)
I have always preferred using a dedicated server and slicing it up vs. something like Squarespace. Could self-host, but don't get that SLA.

Given this, the signal may be having a hard time getting through the wall.

Given the reception that you've provided, it may not necessarily be the signal strength, but rather instability or another issue.

Unfortunately, networking can be a rabbit hole when trying to identify a problem. Personally, I steer clear of wireless repeaters. I've had nothing but bad experience with them, and so have a bunch of people I know. However, saying that doesn't mean they don't work. They are highly situational. At least with a mesh wifi network, you have more control.

On from this, it could also just be port forwarding issues. Your router may be blocking a port that the game wants to use, or it could be firewall related. This is really where the rabbit hole begins. You could try, just for testing, to put your Xbox in a DMZ and see if that just "fixes" your problems. If so, it was firewall/port related. If it doesn't, I suppose you could move onto the repeater/mesh network route.

iCoExist got a reaction from Zando_ in SanDisk Ultra 64GB or Intenso Ultra Line 64GB?
I've actually not heard of Intenso before. I've been using SanDisk for a long, long time. I even have their SSDs loaded in my PCs. Now that I think of it, I have a crap-ton of 32GB USB 3.0 drives from SanDisk laying around.

Been using one for YUMI (Your Universal Multiboot Installer) for ages, and no matter how many different OSes I throw onto it, it still lives on.

Unfortunately since I don't have an Intenso branded USB stick, I can't try to get numbers for you.

In general usage, having a cap vs no cap shouldn't really do much. If either of them were to take a dunk, I'm sure you'd want them both thoroughly dried. As far as storage, I mean a cap can be nifty, but unless you're storing your sticks in the sand, you shouldn't have much worry of things getting into them. Could always give the stick a quick blow on the contacts anyway -- though people could argue then that you could harm the contacts that way. (Which you could... Eventually.. Like a long time of constant breathing. It would take a lot though, so don't even worry about that. Really the same thing with old game cartridges, but those were plated differently.)

Point is, in general use, the cap isn't really any more protective than just having the USB board slide back into the enclosure. Yes, it can be nifty, but depending on where you put these guys, it may not even matter.

I see, that makes sense. Ultimately I think it will come down to personal preference. Given the circumstances, I'd be going with SanDisk since I've had good experiences with them before. I'm not saying I don't like to try new things, rather I like to stick with what works until it well.. Doesn't.
