  1. Yeah exactly, Noctua don't do them, I've already asked them that's why I'm on the LTT forums You guys and gals are all super knowledgeable so seems a good place to ask.
  2. Hey everyone, I've got a load of Noctua fans ( 10 ) for a Chairty build I'm working on but I'm really struggling to find Orange Anti-Vibration Pads for Noctua fans, where would one get some from ?. I don't even care if they are 3rd party at this point. Heeeeeeeelllllllp
  3. Same here, i've had this issue for some time now, i find if i don't plug in a headset via the front panel IO, it works ok, but if i do, literally minutes later my audio becomes laggy and if working with anything that produces sound, it completely slows the video playback down. if there is a way i could record this i would post the problem. I've used DDU to clean the realtek audio drivers out, i've even gone back to using the default Windows High Definition Audio Drivers to see if it was a realtek issue, but i still get the issue, Windows Audio Device Graph uses around 12% of the CPU and around 250MB of ram when this happens. I don't think it's discord. as above, mine started almost as soon as i plugged a pair of headphones in.
  4. HP P2000 G3, yeah i know i could just replace the controllers but HP our supplier won't warranty the device any longer due to it's age. but we also want higher capacity too, and ideally not sas drives due to replacement costs.
  5. ah yes.. forgot to specify that, our current san is duel controller. opps
  6. i see where you're coming from, however it's quad for redundancy. so only x1 10gb link would be active per host. cheers.
  7. Hi, i'm looking at a replacement SAN for our esxi hosts, we have about 20 vm's running between 2 hosts, currently using a 4Gb link direct to the SAN, however.. our SAN is due to be replaced and repurposed and i'm looking at upgrading to 10Gb Ethernet direct to the hosts with at least 36TB of Storage with possibility to expand if needed. i've had some quotes back for just over 10k in GBP, and would like to see if i can do better, i'm not mega familiar with what sans are out there and which ones to avoid, so i'm really looking for recommendations, it must have ideally quad 10gb ethernet, at least 2U, but can be larger if needed doesn't matter. reliable and robust for 24/7 running, obviously the configuration of the actual array will be decided one we know storage capacity and amount of drives. this is for a educational environment not for myself, so it MUST be reliable. Cheers guys !
  8. Just give the guys a break, if you bothered to follow @LinusTech you will have seen his recent livestreams explaining it was all pre planned with the Amazon Store, and they were followed by a PR Rep from Amazon and given permission to test the system. wow... just wow come on people
  9. Cheers Black Ops. and thanks to the rest of you. however any more suggestions in general would be appreciated.
  10. Great Suggestion i will try that for my next video.. Although if there is anywhere better to put them instead of youtube I will
  11. ok so at those prices i won't be rushing out to buy a new one, not yet anyways Yeah i have a Mic to use, but no stand for it at the moment, so i'll try getting some extra lights and record the audio separately, currently the audio for some of the videos are done using the camera MIC, which is not great. and i end up having to remove excess background noise even if the room is completely silent.
  12. Thanks for all your thoughts on this, i think i will stick with the camera i have, and just invest in some LED lighting. the camera model is listed in the original post, If you want to see some of the things we have done so far then have a look at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWFUiaRZdSBAhwfcJ3fakww some of our work is not great but, with time we will get better ! let me know what you think and how we could improve the quality. but yeah it is good fun, we both enjoy doing it which is the main reason as my son had been asking for months, i gave in, and i'm glad i did actually it's great fun, we are learning lots along the way which is great !
  13. Na they still have it.. in one video while they were at CES, @LinusTech said the bids were trolls.. so there we go.
  14. Myself and my son are venturing into the big bad world of content creation, we have a rough idea of how we want our channel to be, and where we are going, but were not sure how to get there, that aside, one of my biggest issues currently is recording quality, i'm currently using a Nikon L840 Bridge Camera that i gave to my wife as a present, the quality is "ok" but doesn't seem as clean and clear as i would like, i realise you can post edit some cleanliness into it, but I would like to minimize editing time by having the quality there already. How much realistically do i need to spend on a better than "ok" camera.. I really have no clue nor experience with cameras, i just know i need something better.
