Carried away? What do you mean? Don't we all have that type of part analysis ? (no seriously, I have one for GPU and one for CPU, comparing new and used prices with perfs analysis vs cost ... seriously I do, but it's old because thats' when I bought my 1060 and then my 8700 :P ).

I assume you're using the wattage figure along with power costs to figure out the true price in 3 years (or however long) on top of the base price and then calculating price per frame using that?

i have a simple formula. set your heart on the highest end card of that generation and work towards buying that card eventually even if its a year late, before i do that i need these shit to become less expensive. Gtx 2080ti is 3 times as expensive here.

@Ryan_Vickers The wattage is just purely for comparison. I don't factor that into the cost on the chart, but it helps me note which ones are going to kick off more heat and cost more to run per year. Though I don't really game often enough to make much of a difference on power costs. The relative performance (orange) is data points taken from TPU's GPU database, all relative to the RX 570. Relative performance per dollar is the relative performance divided by the current price, so the higher, the better the value. Prices are mostly current lowest average "buy it now" price on ebay, with shipping.

@Rohith_Kumar_Sp The card I really want is the RX 5700, if I had the funds on-hand. And I still might go with it. But I wanted to put everything into perspective and make sure I'm getting good value for my money. The 5700 is solid in the value factor, especially if you do a BIOS swap to the XT. ;)

i'm one of those people who until can play a game at its max potential is not even gonna start the game, so unless i can play the game with RTX i ain't even gonna buy the game.
