  1. I mean there is always the option to have both. One for gaming one for photos. ?
  2. On another note you can get some IPS high refresh rate panels, but these can get quite expensive, no experience with their colour accuracy or anything in practice.
  3. For colour accuracy you are really going to want something IPS rather than a TN panel. Personally I have a Dell Ultrasharp U2515H. There have been updates to this since I got it so there will be a new version now. It is only a 60Hz monitor, but I use it for casual gaming anyway even on FPS, I just accept that I am bad at them regardless of refresh rate. But for editing photos and the colour accuracy I find it really good. I also like 1440p at 25".
  4. I know you say a random plank of wood would ruin the aesthetics but if it were a non-random plank. As In if you got some wood and cut to the size of the feet so you could hardly see the wood it might work.
  5. It also says it has a 10 year warranty so any problems you could just get a replacement, and you would may want a new desk before 10 years is up anyway.
  6. This one has a built in USB. Anything by Anker or Aukey should be pretty decent. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B013FKZ7KE?keywords=aukey%20battery%20pack&qid=1451847380&ref_=sr_1_12&sr=8-12

I went from an Ikea Markus to a Maxnomic one. The Ikea one lasted me less than two years before the cushioning had just gone, but this was from sitting in it for hours everyday, other people may have different experiences. I was however in Ikea recently and they have changed the colours and things so maybe the padding is improved now also, or I just got a bad one. I have only had the Maxnomic one for a few weeks, but I like it, no idea on how long the padding will hold up in in but i do find it comfortable, it is a more pleasurable experience than the Ikea one. Though whether that is worth twice the price to you or not is another matter. The reason I went for the Maxnomic one over other brands is that I usually have my chair extended rather tall and out of what I looked at they went the tallest.

  15. Windows 10 made my Chrome crash, the fix... delete my sound drivers and let windows reinstall them. I really couldn't believe it fixed it. Other than that I have not really had any problems with Windows 10 that I wouldn't have with any other Windows version.
  16. Have you tried moving everything apart from your case over a bit, so as the monitor is in the middle of the gap between your computer and the desk edge rather than the middle of the two desk edges? I think the symmetry in the gap on either side would make it look less obvious. Perhaps a set of speakers (not necessarily an expensive set but just something to sit on either side of the desk) A plant as mentioned is also a good option.
  17. Black with the copper heat pipes remaining copper coloured may actually be really nice too.
  18. So the back-up of my computer containing music is illegal then technically too... delightful
  19. I use Aomei BackUpper which seems to be pretty good.
  20. I love my Mionix Naos 7000 Roccat Kone XTD is good aswell
  21. The OMaker one looks good due to the dual 2.1A output and it looks the nicest in my opinion as well. Anker also make quite good ones.
