  1. well good to hear that i shulsn't worry about the problem. i mentioned the psu because i have heard that some psu's can cause worse coil whine then others
  2. also it acts like coil whine in the sense of it speeds up with load(fur mark stress test) but dosn't make the psssss sound also it gets tuned out when the side panel is closed and the psu shuldn't be the problem because it is a corshait hx 1000
  3. i did stop the fan and it didn't stop the noise also my card is an asus gtx960 2 gigabyte strangly i cusdn't find the exact model witch is GTX960 2GD5/DP_CARD/VGA and nothing more there is no nomber on the opaque black plastic shroud or anything.
  4. i recently baught a used gtx 960 from my cousin for 50$. there is no realy bad problem with it but it makes some strange noise thet goes ike zazazaza and i am 70% shuse it is the graphics card making them i also know that it isn't the blower style fan. if anybody reeding this knows what it is and if i shuld be concenred about it or not plese tell me
  5. you are proberbly right Gigabyte my z370 aorus ultra gaming can't handle such voltages anyways
  6. i recently got the idea to overclock my pc and for the best stability while overclocking lower temperatures are generaly better so i came up with the plan to delid my cpu and put a wather block directly on it but fom an article i learned that the plastic part of the soket stands 0.4mm above the die so my soulution would be to put a 100w peltier at a 45degree angle between the block and the die. i now only have a cuple questions witch would be is this cooling adiquit for an i5 8600k and do i need to insulate the soket if yes what is the best way to do so on a vetical motherboard
  7. what do you mean with accelarate the monitor brcause the monitor connected to it works
  8. where is this option all i did id disabeling the 8500gt in device manger and Fortenite definetly runns better (40-60fps on all low at my monitor's resoulution 1280x1024) then before i disbled it
  9. recently my gtx 650 died and brcause it is only 20% faster then the igpu on my i5 8600k i started to use it but there was a problem my gygabyte Z370 ulta gaming (rev 1.0) only had digital connectors witch was fine for my primary monitor witch works with vga and dvi but my secondary monitor was vga only and i didn't want to buy an adapter so i just installed an old geforce 8500gt i pulled from an old pc and installed it because it had vga, dvi and s video and to use my igu instead of the pc passing the signal from the 8500 gt to ihe igpu first i changed in the bios rhat the igpu is always on so that i can conect a monitor to it and i fired up fortenite .....and it didn't work so i disabled ithe 8500gt in device manger and that did the trick so now the 8500 gt is now just a vga adapter to but the now my second monitor the one connected to the 8500gt chops even if i just move a window around. can someone tell me if i can fix the screen taering or not.
  10. well as a conection i thaught about dual infiniband conections witch would be 80 gigabit and to get the data in the server the idea is that i can transfear data from multiple pc's to there at once
  11. i recently got the idea of making a solid state nas witch is faster then one with nvme the idea was to get a server mainboard and install something between 512gb to 2tb of ram and making it a nas so if i was about to dump a lot of data at once in the network it would be stored in this server first and then when i finished for example ingesting a red mini meg (discalmer i dont work with red cameras but this was the best example i had) ican then pull the meg out and continue working while the ram node is slowly transfering the data to the main server
  12. i turned hardware acceleration on and the only thing my gpu sais it is using is 3d at about 10-20% and nothing else
  13. it is firefox and it was turned off because i thaught it would iliminate an ugly scrolling sceme
  14. when i am webrowsing especially when watching youtube videos in 1080p (sometimes 1440p or 4k) i see usage spikes of about 70% and a mddlevalue usage of about 15% i noticed because the cpu fan gets notacibly louder my cooler is an intel stock thermal soulutin from 2007 with a stronger foxconn fan atatched to it for better performance but mostly because i broke the original fan and i was too cheap to buy a better cooler for my i5 8600k my config is a mishmash of poor choises and impropper balancing the cpu is a core i5 8600k the gpu is an evga gtx 650 (my cusin gave me because he upgraded) and the psu is a corshair hx 1000 (i baught because it was on sale and will never have to buy a nother psu) also my 2 monitors have a resouluton of 1280 x 1024
  15. then you can't controll it with yout mainboard
