  2. https://www.amazon.com/Eyeboot-8-Pin-Supply-Adapter-Motherboards/dp/B01A210HKO There are multiple adapters for the 8 pin power supply connector
  3. You can still download R20 from maxon directly if you would prefer it over prime95, they just made it easier for most people that dont mind being spied on by M$ ? https://www.maxon.net/en-us/support/downloads/
  4. I am running a 3950x and have some ramp up of fans but nothing like you are experiencing. Im on a noctua d15 and its so quiet even when it does ramp up. I dont know much about your bios but i know in my MSI I had to set the fans to pwm and they got even quieter, they were defaulted to voltage control. They never got real loud but I guess they followed with the issue you have, I am running noctua case fans so I guess that may be why they are so quiet. I would do as alyen says and set low end temps higher
  5. Or they could get divorced, and she can find a nice normie to do the things she wants to do with. He can do what he wants to do without worrying about some whiny lady in his life always talking bad about him to everyone they/she knows.
  6. I just recently purchased this case and it falls into your budget https://www.newegg.com/black-metallic-gear-neo-g-atx-mid-tower/p/N82E16811854090 I will say I am amazed at the cheap cost of this case and I enjoyed building in it. The front glass I was worried about it blocking air but it keeps my setup really cool at maxed out benchmarks for both cpu/gpu 2 included fans work well and can be loud at full load but it doesn't reach that often unless the heater kicks on while I'm running a benchmark I was weary of making this choice but I'm really glad I did, FYI metallicgear is made by phanteks The 2 front fans are RGB as well and can be controlled by your MOBO or the button on the front inputs. And I just saw that you said you didn't like the p400a so you probably wont like this one.
  7. mail in rebate = MIR
  8. it's better than what I see a lot of people call them "labtops" that drives me nuts lol
  9. Thanks Plouffe, I am going to be using it for other things as well. I like to run VM's and do video editing as well. I have lots of need for video editing and encoding and I want to be able to use this machine for quite some time like my current setup that has lasted so long.
  10. Hello, The last time I built a personal pc for myself was 2013. Ive gotten the ok from the wife for tax time refund to build a new one. FINALLY!!! lol Ive done quite a bit of back and forth on this one and am up for discussion about it https://pcpartpicker.com/user/madaaron/saved/s8fQqs The reason a price is not listed for the 2070 is because I already own that card from last tax refund
