I've been a Linus fan since his early days and I gotta say he has changed dramatically over the years. He's really become almost heartless in his salesmanship. I find myself rarely watching LMG stuff and I've unsubbed from all the channels except the main one because Linus has become almost unbearable to watch. He's just trying to sell us crap constanstly and he doesn't seem to care. I go to actual news sources now instead of all the influencer BS that LTT pushes. Linus and his crappy $250 backpack and $70 screwdriver sealed the deal for me. $90 hoodies?? Seriously? LTT has become a merch machine and nothing more.

I just got my 3090Ti for $700 USD off at my local Microcenter. All GPUs are massively discounted. $500 off for 3080Tis, $300 to $500 off 3090s...the prices are awesome right now.

This is my first time ordering from the store and it's not a good look. I'm just shocked that it's taking this long and there has been zero movement. I've ordered plenty of things from all across the globe and have not had issue other than this.

Ordered a mouse pad 2 weeks ago. The order hasn't updated or even shipped, is this normal? At this rate it will not arrive for a month. If this is how shipping is conducted on all LTT Store orders going to the US, why would I ever buy anything from them?

Just curious if using the HDMI output on my GPU will impact it's frame latency or performance at all? Connecting it to my Atmos Denon AVR. Should I use a dedicated soundcard or onboard audio or just use the HDMI output and Nvidia audio driver?

I just loaded up HWMonitor and there are two sensors that just sit around 110+, never had a board with readings like this. I guess it's normal?

Just finished my 3900X + Crosshair X570 Formula build. It's insanely fast and I love it. One thing that is weird though is I get a high temp reading on one of the MB sensors. I use iCue to monitor temps and one sensor is reading a consistent 110*C while all others hover around 37*C. Anyone have any idea what that is?

Why are people on these forums obsessed with what people spend on their hobby? We are all tech enthusiasts and I've been building custom systems for myself for gaming for over 20 years. You know, adults can have successful careers and disposable income to spend on their hobbies.... The X27 and PG27UQ have the same panel btw....they are identical and the only difference is the bezel (and maybe a quieter fan on the ASUS display).

I've been gaming at 1440p 144Hz G-Sync for the past few years (SLI 1080Ti) and its been fantastic. This year I upgraded to an Asus PG27UQ along with NVLINK (SLI) 2080Ti's at 120Hz and I can't tell the difference from an FPS perspective. Visually games look amazing, especially games that support HDR. Otherwise, I can say that from an image quality point of view it's hard to tell 1440 vs 4k purely based on sharpness in games. When you step back and look at the overall quality of the panel based on colors, etc. well the 4k will look better every time. In games though...1440p is definitely the sweet spot.

This thread cracks me up. Do people just not understand what a properly mixed setup with compression should sound like? The mic they are using is a condenser mic, a slightly above average one, but still it should sound better than your $50 Razer headset. I'm an audiophile and run a 10 channel mixer with a stereo condenser mic (Audio Technica AT4050ST) with compression for my TeamSpeak server. If you care about good audio, what LTT is doing is basics 101.

There is no forum, I just checked again on Floatplane and on here. There is the ability to comment on videos but it's a mess.

Yeah the forum is gone. I was an early Floatplane sub last year, and let it lapse. So I joined again to see what it's like now that it's on a new domain. Don't really see a point to it now. I did enjoy the exclusive streams that they used to do and the conversations on the private forum were really nice. I felt like they were almost worth more than getting the videos early. I guess CES vids couldn't really be a week early because it's more time sensitive, so that's a good point. I'm aleady a YouTube Premium / Red or whatever subscriber so I don't see extra ads, only the baked in ones.

Just wondering, is there a reason to join Floatplane anymore? I joined last night and don't see a private forum anymore, and the videos that are on the LTT Floatplane are the same ones that are on YouTube. Just curious if I missed something? At this point I won't remain subscribed.

The FTW3 would be the top choice. Custom PCB, great EVGA warranty, they won't void your warranty if you want to hybrid cool it (and they have hybrid cooling kits on the way). Plus it has a dual bios switch.
