  1. IVE FIXED IT ive attached a photo below showing the motherboard CIRCLED IN RED: ive put these jumpers on the exposed pins right below them CIRCLED IN GREEN: removed the jumpers for bios recovery pins then reseated it as shown in the picture and somehow the interfaces changed and i was able to access bios again! ive previously only removed the jumpers for bios recovery but never tried it in combination! Sometimes desperate times makes you do the most random things..
  2. I assume the big conclusion here is to never buy HP or dell products i have linux mint installed on usb is there something i could do to change bios??
  3. No matter what buttons i press on startup (tried every function key including esc and del, after removing mobo battery and holding power button while its not connected to the wall) i always land at this screen
  4. Mornin, usually i do thorough research and try everything i find online before posting but this left me scratch my gnoggin. Heres the situation: 1. I started an installation for windows 10 pro N(?) over RDP 2. later turned off computer to install gpu to connect to tv so i can complete installation 3. every time i start the pc now it shows a print with the hardware info with information to press esc to continue 4. press esc > only option: f1 BOOT 5. pressing f1 doesnt do anything (only removes the option) 6. tried everything to get into bios, cant open it 7. Linux live (from usb) can boot just fine (when disconnecting hard drive) 8. windows 10 installation usb yields same results as in point 3. (with hdd disconnected) the keyboard i used worked for opening bios before so i have no idea im lost ive been banging my head against the wall for several days and hp support on whatsapp is as useless as eating soup with a fork please help
  5. do you think that any of my pc components took damage, or got heavy wear before the update? Sometimes windows didnt detect one ram module, but when i went into the bios it detected all of them
  6. thank you for that suggestion, somehow i tried updating it in the past but failed, now i got it and it also started reading cpu temps correctly!!!
  7. now I tried killing it. When it died, it did this cylce (turning off by holding down power button) but i dont know why it does it sometimes.. I always try to turn it off using the windows power off funktion
  8. mate, like, this issue started when i started using the computer ok?
  9. Hello, I've built a custom pc a while back and started noticing strage behaviour over some time. It sometimes tends to reboot twice when i start it up, then it brings me to the 'megatrends' screen saying that overclocking failed and that i have to press f1 to enter the configuration of the bios i guess. Overclock settings are on normal! Hardware: CPU: Intel i7 - 5820k GPU: EVGA Gtx 980ti FTW OC SC+ RAM: 16 GB Gskill Ripjaws 4 PSU: Corsair HX750i Mainboard: ASUS x99-a CPU cooling: Corsair h110i (could it be that it doesnt get enough power sometimes????)
  10. but i like the old one with the normal font rip i guess....
  11. i cant find it anywhere, is the k70 new logo mx brown with de layout still in production? did anybody find it anywhere?
  12. Smashed that poor keyboard recently and really got used to it, so I wanted to ask if anyone knows any keyboards with a similar layout this one had (qwertz layout), thanks for the answers in advance and thanks for reading this instead of just reading the title and mindlessly replying.
