  1. Hey, So I've ordered all my parts for my new PC, and there's one quick question that I have in regards to whether I have enough fan headers. My motherboard is the Asus ROG Strix X370-F, and I'll have it in a H500P (hate all you want). There'll be five fans, the two stock 200mms and 3 120mms that I already have. In short, my question is do I have enough headers? The specsheet for the motherboards say the following: 1 x CPU Fan connector(s) 1 x CPU OPT Fan connector(s) 3 x Chassis Fan connector(s) 1 x AIO_PUMP connector 1 x W_PUMP+ connector I see 3 chassis headers, but I have 5 fans. Do I need to buy splitters from my local MSY? Or can I use the pump headers as well? Does the case actually come with power splitters? I know it comes with an RGB splitter. Thanks in advance, Jaeger
  2. I use razer synapse for my Kraken 7.1s (utter trash, can't wait to replace them with a Void headset) and my Deathadder (quite good, but getting old now). In my experience, razer synapse is rubbish compared to Corsair CUE, and in terms of lighting only has a few options. As for brightness, it's fine for me and quite bright in a dark room.
  3. Yeah, from the ones I've used they are some of the best on the market in terms of build quality and reliability. They're certainly not the cheapest, but they're well made and comfortable to use. Also, the RGB profiles are amazing. There are a lot you can download on the internet and it's astonishing how great they look, and how complex they can be.
  4. It's removable. I like it on but you can adjust the height of the keyboard with 2 sets of feet, one front one back. No worries.
  5. The K70 is basically a cut down more affordable K95. The current model doesn't have macros, but you could have a look on ebay/craigslist/etc for a previous model. EDIT: I got one recently and it's really good. Also has rgb + USB passthrough
  6. More/faster RAM wouldn't be missed. If you want to upgrade to 16 in future you'd need to buy another of the exact same stick.
  7. We don't get much in the way of EVGA down under
  8. In the info section on that amazon page, next to contents and specifications it mentions that it is compatible with: RMi series, RMx series, SF Series, Corsair Type 4 PSU
  9. 1000 posts! Hooray! In the 6 months I've been using LTT, this has been by far the friendliest and most helpful forum I've ever been a part of. Thanks everyone, and here's to many more.

  10. Case in point. Also, can a laptop or PS4 fit a 1080Ti and custom loop? I think not.
  11. Sorry about that. From what I understand, the new H500P mesh doesn't really have the bumped out front panel and makes up for this by only having mesh on the front and no interchangeable panel. The H500M (the "premium" variant) has the bumped out panel and the interchangeable mesh one. They also have better quality panels on the top and bottom that don't creak.
  12. Totally agree. Did some work on some family members computers relating to OS reinstall and file recovery, if you don't ask for money good things will come eventually. TBH asking for money makes you look a bit like an ass.
  13. For the soldering iron, I just got mine from a hardware store and it's been fine for 3+ years now. If you want the whole kit & caboodle (i.e PCB stand, iron stand, pad, etc) then find a hobby electronics store near you. Unless you live in the middle of nowhere you shouldn't need to order online.
  14. Should be in Build Logs, but I'm excited to see pictures, sounds really cool!
  15. But seriously, given that 1080Ti production is rumored to have stopped (or is stopping soon) in preparation for the 2080 and 2070 in April/June, why wouldn't you wait a few months for what would be a more powerful card for what may very well be a lower price?
  16. None to negligible. The 4790 is a capable CPU.
  17. I know it's nitpicky, but you could rotate the part of the cooler with AMD on it, so it's upright. There are tutorials on this if you need.
  18. Unlikely. The front of the H500M is pretty different to the H500P, so it wouldn't be compatible. Since making this post I've decided not to wait for the H500M and just go with the H500P instead. It isn't an objectively bad case, it's just that it being marketed as a HAF case (and then not being one) made it look so. Sure, the H500M is better quality, but with quality comes a pricetag, so to be honest I'd just get the existing. Temperatures are actually not terrible, and there are a lot of sources showing people modding the H500P for a mesh front/top panel. If you look at actual customer reviews, as opposed to tech journalist reviews, it paints the H500P in a much better light.
  19. Was your question not answered? I believe it was.
  20. Yes. Gamers Nexus have more on this, but the interchangeability is a big feature.
  21. It surprised me too, but Sea of Thieves looks to be quite well optimised, though I can't for sure say what it will do on your system exactly (it's your system). But they just released the requirements, and from what I've read if you're ready to lower your resolution a significant amount it may be doable in the 20-30fps range. https://www.pcgamer.com/sea-of-thieves-system-requirements-revealed/ ruise liner (1080p @60 fps) OS: Windows 10 CPU: Intel i5 4690 @3.5ghz or AMD FX-8150 RAM: 8GB DirectX: 11 VRAM: 4GB GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 or AMD Radeon R9 380x Modern GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD RX 470 HDD: 60GB 7.2k RPM Graphics settings: Medium ("Rare" in-game) Bayliner (720p @30fps) OS: Windows 10 CPU: Intel Q9450 @2.6ghz or AMD Phenom II RAM: 4GB DirectX: 11 VRAM: 1GB GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 or AMD Radeon 7750 Modern GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1030 or AMD R7 450 HDD: 60GB 5.4k RPM Graphics settings: Low ("Common" in-game) Bin liner (540p @30fps) OS: Windows 10 CPU: Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 or Intel Iris 540 RAM: 4GB DirectX: 11 VRAM: 1GB GPU: Integrated Modern GPU: Integrated HDD: 60GB 5.4k RPM Graphics settings: Minimum ("Cursed" in-game) Edit: TBH I'd just suggest buying it, checking it out for an hour or so, and refunding it if possible if it runs like shite.
