  1. Move the whole partition... to where? I'm not understanding the question or what you're trying to do.
  2. What CPU do you have? There's a difference between 13900 (which you indicated above), 13900K, and 13900KF. The KF variant does not include a iGPU.
  3. You are going to need to provide some additional information. What type of PC is it? CPU, GPU Motherboard specs? Where are you plugging in the display? HDMI or DP?

Hot take of the day: Louis Rossmann, while nobl…

Oh, I typically don't. Every once in a while however, a video comes across my radar as his subject matter often crosses over into my interests (such as his latest fight regarding the Google legal letter). I'm quickly reminded why I don't watch him.
  5. Hot take of the day:

Louis Rossmann, while noble and justified in his fights against soulless bloodsucking corpos, is an obnoxious, insufferable prick. His pompous, holier-than-thou attitude reeks through every video he publishes.

I truly don't understand how anyone can listen more than a few minutes of him babble.

Guy is annoying asf, constantly poorbashing when it comes to tools and the workshop in general, not noble at all. And he looks like a Playstation 1 game character. But all of his thirsty fans will jump at your throat and say you're "against right to repair" if you don't like him... bruh.wma

I constantly repair things for people and don't boast about it on youtube.... maybe I should, given he has a million dollar workshop and I work in a dimly lit basement with crude tools. *furiously types www.youtube.com*

This  was so brutal it reminded me of ....

I agree he is a bit sure of himself when it comes to repair.  I mean if you think about it any very large company is going to want to sell you a new device more than it will want you to repair it.  If car companies could get way with that they would.

  6. That seems to be different than your initial question. I'm not sure where you are located, or what the secondary market is near you. Obviously the price is going to depend on condition, model, controllers, various accessories, etc.. The price sounds reasonable assuming it's a good package. It's a fantastic price if it's a PS4 Pro.
  7. "Worth it" is subjective, so it all depends on what you are trying to do with it. There are a ton of exclusives for PS4 that may make it worth it for you. The price for used games is probably the lowest it will ever be for the platform. I'm not sure I would recommend any online experiences at this point, as the platform is dated, focus more on the single player experiences.
  8. Agree with @whispous... if you must dual boot: Create new partition Install Windows to new partition. Confirm functionality Boot to Windows creation media again. Delete both old partitions and create new, full sized partition Reinstall Windows.
  9. I think given the replies to this thread, I believe this is an indication that this was a good video, or at minimum one that spawned interesting conversation. @LinusTech - I hope this is encouraging to continue to produce video like this that interest you (as you said on the WAN show this week), as they clearly interest us.

    rate my desk

I don't know why but I find this exceedingly funny. Like they just packed your up and shipped you off.
  11. Who? Regardless, typically there is a Fn + F# key combo to enable/disable touchpad. Typically this isn't an option for the keyboard as most people don't want to disable this. Easiest option, honestly, would be to open the back of the laptop and unplug the ribbon cable for the keyboard and touchpad.
  12. If I remember correctly, I believe that Linus mentioned it during the WAN show, although someone with a better memory than I can correct me as to where I heard or read this. Emily decided she wanted to take time away from the camera after her announcement, but is welcome to come back on-camera if/when she feels ready. I do believe she was shown very briefly in a video a few months ago, although I can't remember what that video was.
  13. Yes, she is, but has taken a step back from the camera.
  14. Then, simply, a Chromebook isn't for you. The entire operating system is predicated on the fact you are connected to the internet.
  15. The point is that the entire purpose of these laptops its to store data in the cloud, not locally, and when you need additional space, purchase it from Google on a per month basis.
  16. More than likely, the rubber dome is damaged. I'm not sure you would be able to repair it, but if you are considering replacement it may be worth attempting to disassemble. I'm assuming you already know this if you have already removed it once, but replacing the trackpad and keyboard on those later model X2 laptops is a pain in the balls. You essentially have to disassemble the entire PC to get at them. I wanted to swap out the keyboard on my x270 with one from my x260 (had a nicer feel) but gave up after completely dissecting the poor x260.
  17. I don't think this is anyone's argument, nor do I think it's in Google's best interest to drive their user base to Linux. However, what is likely to happen is that those "technically curious" young users, who start on ChromeOS, can, on their own volition, stumble their way into Linux package distribution. Google is giving those users the tools they need and that should be, unironically, praised.
  18. fuck it. three piece suit everyday. be the man you want to be.
  19. As someone who worked on a Help Desk and later on the Sys Admin side of the house for a mid to large sized company, I can say with the utmost certainty that being a brilliant developer does not mean you work well with computers. There are guys who are borderline geniuses when it comes to programming and database management, and yet can barely function when it comes to Windows, it's astonishing. I'm talking about adults who didn't know how to plug in a HDMI monitor and yet are responsible for ensuring a multi-billion dollar corporation stays afloat.
  20. The exact same can be said about Windows and OSX. I guess it's dystopian if you want it to be. To everyone else, it's a computer.
  21. I was impressed how seamlessly ChromeOS picked up my SMB shares. I was able to map drives with far less effort than any Linux distro.
  22. I think you missed the point. The entire point is that it isn't dystopian and has potential if one embraces the Linux side of the house.
  23. ThunderBolt isn't just for display, you can run hubs that pass USB data, network data, etc.. Your issue with ThunderBolt is going to be the length of the runs. Essentially, you are going to need to run fiber optic, the converter (TB->Fiber) of which are very expensive.
  24. Are you in the United States? Because, Jesus Christ, I would never take my PC back to that store again.
