  1. How long is a piece of string. Should be fine for a number of years, but you might be unlucky
  2. LOL nvidia insider here people
  3. If Galax/KFA2 doesn't have a big presence in your country, I wouldn't recommend purchasing one. You'll be in a right pickle if you need to RMA it.
  4. You should be fine.. assuming your case is painted and isn't bare metal, and assuming you didn't try and turn the pc on. If all you did is screw it isn and leave it, then you should be fine.
  5. Turn off V sync in minecraft settings, also set max frames to what ever your display's refesh rate is. Also turn your render distance down
  6. You can't run DDR3 RAM on those parts. You need DDR4
  7. Use the buttons on the side, make sure the high refresh rate is enabled, as well as g-sync. Go into display setting in windows and make sure high refresh rate is enabled. And do the recommended in Nvidia control Make sure there aren't any contradicting settings in the games, like a frame rate lock or Vsync
  8. Just look for 2nd hand. Some buy/sell group will sell at normal prices
  9. Thunderbolt 2 is about half the speed of TB3,so do expect some performance degradation, especially with higher-end GPUs
  10. I'd go 2nd hand personally. Maybe a gtx 980 or R9 390x?
  11. The unwritten rule is that the buyer goes tot he seller's house..but if you want to meet in public, ask for proof of working. an for buyers protection, pay through Paypal
  12. Very rare for a cpu to die, but it can happen
  13. Looks like they're regularly crossing it to me
  14. Generally the rule of thumb is that the hotter the card, the more degradation it will face. You can overclock your card, and then make the fan curve slightly more aggressive to keep it cool. In my opinion, if you are in a position where you would benefit from extra performance, then you should absolutely OC your card.
  15. It will work fine. But I don't know what prices are like where you are, but here is the uk that I3 is only £10 less than an r5 1600. I would 100% go for the 1600 if it were my money
  16. I think he would agree with you. I think he has said a few times in his videos that he will not buy green or blue (not sure if both) due to their practices. But he tries to present objective info.
  17. Its very odd, sounds like a dead cpu, which is unusual
  18. I think the current gpu market has made the decision for you.. A 1600 would be ~40% faster in single threaded perf that your FX, so it will certainly make a difference in gaming, and the prices are pretty good. A 380x is still a good card for 1080p gaming, I'd upgrade your cpu platform, and then wait to see if the gpu market will sort itself out.
  19. Ryzen isn't meant to support Win7 so what do you expect?
  20. It's certainly hotter than I would be comfortable with if running on a regular basis, but perfectly normal if you want to maintain 5ghz. My personal preference is cool as possible.
  21. GPU is that main thing that would benefit from an upgrade.. unfortunately. Otherwise I'd say just upgrade the cpu platform.
  22. Ya depends on how much you'd want to spend. a 7500 is a good value buy, you'll get way more life out of that, deffo not a bottleneck unless you decide to throw a 1080ti in there lol But at the same time, going to something like the 8400 or 8500 would be wayyy better. Deffo get an SSD regardless
