    But the PSU's they use in their pre-builts are just as bad as anybody else's. Especially since the precision t3400 is a pretty old PC, even if the PSU was decent it will have experienced some degradation over time.
     
    I would urge you to buy a new PSU as well. With PSU's this old and of questionable quality there is a real risk of them killing other components when they fail.

    You'd be better off getting a Ryzen 3 1200 and an accompanying B350 motherboard, then overclocking the 1200.

    Ok Ryzen has more cores which some games favour *ahem* GTA V *ahem* and Ryzen 3
