turns out I didn’t have the RGB set to where it should be, I had 100/100/100 TFT had 97/93/100, I’ll see if this helps, if not I’ll adjust them to my liking

I agree, I seriously don’t know what to do it and Extremely annoying me. I’ll be driving down the road in GTA V and see this constant garbage looking gradient in the sky.

I built my PC with an asus strix Gtx 1080 a couple months ago. On my old Dell s2417dg I thought what I was seeing was color banding but after getting my new PG279Q and seeing similar stuff I’m a bit concerned. https://imgur.com/gallery/Rcet6 here is what I’m seeing, this is in GTA V. I get very bad color banding in the sky at night but this is definitely not color banding. I do believe it’s caused by my graphics card and I’d love to fix it without having to return it and wait 15 days to get a new one from ASUS. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Shoot, just remembered... I ran those tests with default mem speeds, I usually get extremely stable 3200Mhz, I'll go adjust that and see how it is. I'm actually not on latest BIOS, Gigabyte released a new BIOS a couple of days ago I believe and I havent updated yet. Will definitely do that tonight. Thanks

The medium LLC was only set during the second OC, 3.9ghz at 1.35V. The 3.9 at 1.33V had the default LLC on.

I believe its at Medium, it was at low I think before but when messing with BIOS I accidentally changed the LLC to medium and read up on it a bit more and thought I'd see if it helped anything.

Hi all, for Christmas I received a Kraken X62 for my R7 1700. I previously had a Wraith Spire and temps were horrible, around 45-50 idle and 70-80 under load, this was at 3.7Ghz. With this Kraken x62 my temps dramatically improved. I just OC to 3.9Ghz with 1.33V and idle temps are 30 C and idle temps have gone down to around 55C and don't go much farther. I just ran 2 Cinebench benchmarks, temps during both were around 50-55C and my scores were in the 1650 range, which seems low. On the second benchmark my PC crashed, my STRIX GTX 1080 flashes orange and white, the kraken stays lit, but im forced to turn the pc off using the power button. I upped the voltages to 1.35V and set memory back to default. I have 3200Mhz Corsair 16gb RAM and can get it to 3200Mhz extremely easily with just the XMP profile. Ran memtest for around 2-3 hours and it was extremely stable. After upping the voltage to 1.35V theres no more crashing so far, I've ran around 10 cinebenchs and scores are still extremely low, around 1576, and temps are at 50-55C, which seems fantastic. If it makes any difference, when monitoring HWMONITOR while benchmarking the voltages only seem to go up to 1.29V, doesn't seem to go past. If anyone could help me further ensure my OC is stable i'd appreciate it a ton (programs, voltages, settings, etc) . Also, what is VCORE SOC and should I mess with it? I'd love to get this thing to 4Ghz, if anyone can provide a base voltage that I could go off to attempt to achieve this 4Ghz I'd really appreciate it. Hi all, with lots of help from various forums and especially LTT, I finally finished my PC a couple of months ago. Since then I’ve got a new monitor and a few other little things. https://imgur.com/gallery/n0eeB here’s some pictures of the setup and build. I’m not too happy with how the PC looks. I will be getting a Kraken X62 very soon which will definitely look awesome but I still feel like it won’t look as good as it could. My main problem with the aesthetics is the Gigabyte Gaming 5 Motherboard. At the time, this was the only option I really had to get so I went for it. So far it’s performed fine but the RGB settings are absolutely horrible and I honestly don’t like how the thing looks in general. Later down the line I may get a new one, if anyone has some motherboard suggestions that look fantastic I’d appreciate it a ton. I wanted to get the Hue+ but not sure if it’s worth the money, if anyone could suggest some RGB strips for the PC that’d be amazing. I also would love to get some new case fans. I was looking at the Corsair ll120 and 140 RGB fans but oh my... they’re expensive. I’m trying to decide if I want to go for expensive RGB fans or just get some good overall fans that will do a great job at cooling. tl;dr Very happy with my setup, not liking the way the PC looks right now. Getting Kraken x62 soon, if anyone has suggestions on RGB strips or case fans that’d be much appreciated. Any other desk accessories, peripherals, or pc part suggestions would also be much appreciated. Thanks

I built my PC around 2 months ago and everything was great. I had the dell s2417dg and it had decently noticeable color banding but nothing absolutely horrible. It bugged me so I got a replacement for it. When the second one came in it was worse than the 1st but again, not terrible. I decided to plug both of them in via DP to see which was better. After doing this I started to notice some horrible horrible issues. Both of the monitors now looked almost identically bad and they were BAD. https://imgur.com/a/7Gcox this is just a few examples of the problem. I thought it was color banding at first so I returned both of them and yesterday ordered a PG279Q. After talking to some people I realized it's a GPU problem and nothing to due with the actual monitor. I have no idea what to do or how to fix it. Another thing thats happening is my PC will suddenly crash and the graphics card starts flashing. It's a ASUS Strix GTX 1080 btw. It'll just keep flashing white and I have to manually hold the power button and turn it off and back on. It does this quite a bit which seriously frustrates me but hasnt been doing it as much as it used to. Another thing to note is upon turning on the PC all 4 POST LED's light up on my motherboard. This includes CPU, DRAM, VGA, and BOOT. I've tried doing everything to fix this, reset CMOS, check cables, etc. but it still happens. If anyone has anything that could help please let me know. Which one should I get? I like the look of the ASUS a lot better and like their brand more in general but if the Acer is better I’ll gladly pick it up. both are 1440p IPS GSYNC monitors, ASUS has 165Hz while acer has 144Hz, a we is also 50$ cheaper but.

Do you happen to know if it ever goes on sale? (Both coolers) I’ll look around a bit but not sure which parts go on sale the most.
