  1. Hi guys. I am having a problem with Firefox, that I can't figure out. When watching videos, the audio slowly comes out of sync, and starts to become noticable after 10 minutes. Pausing and start the resyncs the audio with the video. All drivers are up to date, Firefox is clean installed, cache is cleared, hardware acceleration is off (no change on or off) Any ideas suggestions?
  2. I'm sorry, but I don't any other good ideas. Hope you find the issue and get it fixed.
  3. Maybe your motherboard isn't able to deliver the power the I7 7700K demands when running @4,2Ghz.
  4. What does TMP7 measure? The temperature seems pretty high for idle. Can you take a screenshot of HW monitor while stresstesting?
  5. Do you have any information about temperatures? Also try to replace the display cable. Id can cause more problems than you know. And I guess you didn't send the periferals along when you sent the computer in. Since the computer didn't crash at the repair shop, the likely cause of the is probably something connected to the computer. Try to eliminate them 1 by 1, before reinstalling Windows.
  6. Have you checked the settings in the Nvidia Control panel? It might be set to prefer maximum performance rather than balanced. Or maybe the fan profiles have been reset to stock settings?
  7. I would like to see a video that compares CPU's from the last 10 years. Both in terms of gaming and productivity. Like how does the I7 6700K compare to the 7700K, 8700K, 9900K, 10900K and so on. And the same for AMD processors.

  9. Sounds like you to have bad electrical connection somewhere. Try and remount the gpu and ram again, and again use a firm amount of pressure. Also check all your wires. One of them might be loose. Check both the 24 pin for the motherboard and the 8 pin for the cpu. Both on the motherboard and on the psu.
  10. Did you apply thermal paste to the CPU? Is the mounting pressure correct? Most be firm and even. Tightened in a cross pattern. Are the fans orientated correctly? In one side, out another. Not all out or in.
  11. Fixed it! In the Nvidia control panel I had the power mode set to 'prefer maximum performance'. Tried changing the setting and applying, but nothing happened. Turns out you have to reboot your system before it takes effect.
  12. I only have 1 monitor plugged in. An AOC Agon AG352QCX - 2560*1080 @ 200hz.
  13. Hi guys. My GPU has, in my opinion, as rather high power consumption. Around 35 watt. Is this normal, or do I have a setting on that causes this?
  14. Had a problem just like it recently. Turned out to be the Display Port cable that was defective. Try to replace the display cable. Try to use both an Display Port and HDMI. Remember to change the input port on your monitor.
  15. Hi guys. I have run into and odd problem. Whenever I launch Asus GPUTweak2 and its monitor, HWmonitor just shuts down. And if I try to reopen it, it startsup, freezes for like 2 seconds and then shuts down again. I use the GPUTweak monitor for in game overlay, so I'd rather not not use it. Any ideas what could be wrong and how to fix it? Obviously I have tried reinstalling both to the newest versions.
  16. Try to clear the CMOS, and/or try to disable the iGPU.
  17. It does, but was changed in the BIOS (as far as I know) during the install. But I will take a look. ---- Update: I did a CLR CMOS and reentered all the settings I wanted, and that fixed the problem. Unfortunately I don't what setting exactly caused the problem, but at least its fixed now.
  18. Have you checked your power plan settings? Are they set to High Performance? Also check the settings for your GPU in the Nvidia control panel.
  19. When I try to wake it, power button and fans come to life, but the GPU and USB's doesn't. My monitor stays in sleep mode, the only way to get into windows again is by doing a hard cold boot. My power plan is set to high performance, and I have activated all the Wake from sleep options I can find in the Device Manager. It worked fine before reinstall of windows. Any suggestions? I9 9900K Asus ROG Strix Z390 Gaming-H Asus dual RTX 2080 32Gb ram 3200Mhz Samsung 960 Evo NVME Corsair RM850i All custom watercooled.
  20. Is the cooler applying enough pressure to the CPU? If it is not pushing hard enough against the CPU, the heat transfer will be affected.
  21. @GOTSpectrum Hi, I see that I was lucky and won a Steam key. While I am happy that I was lucky enough to win, I don't have a use for it, or even know what it is used for, so if you'd like please feel free to donate it to someone who can use it and will be happy to receive it. Best wishes from MichaelAdler
