  1. Its a Samsung Evo 128gb SDXC. And the sytem is completely up to date, and I just tried a format on my pc before trying it again and still nothing.
  2. error code 2002-2001 Reinserted it and rebooted the switch about 30 times. Tried a card out of a DS that we know works. Suggestions? Yes, we get this error when we are trying to format it.
  3. Just about convinced that is the issue. I've built many PCs and this is the first one with a mind of it's own.
  4. One of the machines I built a year or so ago randomly boots up in the middle of the night. When in sleep mode, the fans will ramp up to max and back down at random intervals. I've reinstalled windows. Turned off wake on lan and all that junk the the BIOS. I updated to the latest bios. I turned off wake timers. I can't think of anything else to try. Also by boot in the middle of the night, I don't mean from sleep, I mean from a full shutdown.
  5. You could be exactly right there. Maybe they should try to con intel out of a sample so they can test that theory.
  6. I don't know man. My personal experience delidding is way different than what should have been if this is true.
  7. well, in theory, you could do it the same why they removed the one off of the Threadripper. They could drip it onto the die, then set the IHS in place and put an iron right on the spot it needed to be heated until it seats itself. I think you are correct on the amount of solder though. I think it would either be to little and get hot spots or it would be to much and overflow. Overflowing might be able to be stopped by coating the surrounding components enough that it wouldn't make actual contact with them. Similar to what they do when they use liquid metal.
  8. Because I don't have any junk CPUs that use the intel catshit TIM. Don't really feel like spending that cash. Thing is, I'm not really asking them TO do it, I was just browsing around and thought to myself that it was surprising that they did not. Or maybe they did and decided it wasn't worth finishing or posting due to it failing horribly.
  9. I was referring to viewers, and I wouldn't say technically. They actually are Canadian and are based in Canada.
  10. They are at computex right now, so there may be some really good stuff coming up.
  11. The great thing about living in America, is if we don't like something, we can choose not to watch it. Must be rough for you.
  12. This is never the reason they decide not to do something. If they can't afford it, they ghetto it. You do watch the show right?
  13. I know that it isn't practical or easy. I also know that liquid metal probably creates almost identical results. It just seems like something they would have tried to do at some point just to see what happens.
  14. Not entirely sure what changed. But after a diagnostic restart and a normal restart...it magically started working. I love windows. So I'm guessing you were mostly right. Like some driver utility that came along with the drivers that I later removed. And I had to poke it a bit to get it to realize it no longer existed. Why do they always have these BS utilities that come along with drivers sometimes... Anyway, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
  15. well, I tried it on a clean install. So....there's that. And i'm delided with liquid metal and liquid cooled with a 240 rad with sp120s in push pull taking fresh air outside the case, so I doubt temp will be an issue unless I'm intentionally trying to murder it with prime 95 while also turning off the AC in the house for a couple days in August. I understand the little to no benefit to actually running in high performance mode as well. I just want to see my 5ghz overclock always running at 5ghz for that same warm fuzzy feeling i get when I see my SLI setup even though about 2/3 of the games don't support it anymore. But I will try and turn off everything in msconfig to see if I'm lying about having the issue with a fresh install.
