  1. That's kind of strange... Are you getting the same framerates as you were with the 6700, or are they higher now?
  2. Huh. I thought I saw a picture a while ago where somebody connected a mouse to an iPhone since they had broken their screen; might have been an Android though.
  3. Yes. Are you planning on using both monitors for gaming, or just one?
  4. Try reinstalling your old graphics card, uninstall the graphics driver with Display Driver Uninstaller (download from the internet), put the 1080 back in, and then see if it works.
  5. Ok, when you got the 60C idle temp, was the CPU at stock clocks and voltage, or was it overclocked to the specs above? Also, have you enabled Intel Speedstep in the BIOS so that the CPU doesn't have to run at full speed all the time?
  6. You better get a hazmat suit to go near that PC... Anyways, the dirtiest computer I've ever dealt with was my Dell XPS 410. I had cleaned it in Spring of 2017, and it had never been opened since 2006. Surprisingly, it still worked really well, even though there was literally a centimeter thick pad of dust on every intake filter, completely blocking airflow.
  7. The fan setup is fine, and the intake fan shouldn't blow a noticeable amount of dust onto the components. If dust does start to build up, just blow it out with compressed air. I would get another fan to blow air under the graphics card so that temps are a bit lower though.
  8. Why don't you run the CPU overclocked while the GPU is also overclocked?
  9. Did you take the plastic film off of the base of the cooler before you mounted it?
  10. Try waiting longer than 5 minutes.

    Need a new bike

You would probably want a mountain bike. There's really no clear answer to the best body, but you can get a hardtail, which only has suspension in the front and is cheaper, or a full suspension bike, with both front and rear suspension. To keep it simple, hardtail is best for paved surfaces, and full suspension is best for off-road.

    Need a new bike

One super cheap, yet decent bike I've used is the Stowabike MTB. It's a folding, full size mountain bike with 26 inch tires, and is lasting way longer than any of the department store bikes I've had. Edit: It seems like you can actually buy it off of Newegg...
  13. I'm pretty sure it was just because it's a bit of a pain to code everything for a high core-count CPU. Other than that, I don't know much about it.
  14. I've used it before on my Core 2 Quad q6600, and it never overheated for the 8 months I left it on there. It did dry up eventually, but worked surprisingly well. And yes, I was serious about it, as I was too poor to buy a $5 tube of thermal paste.
  15. Just get a few screws in and the rest of them should line up.
  16. To replace the TIM, you need to delid the 8700K, which may end up destroying the processor if you do it incorrectly. If you do get the Ryzen CPU, I'd get a 2700 instead of the 2700X, and then just overclock it a bit, which should save you some money. The 2700 should be a lot easier to cool that the 8700K as well because it has a lower TDP and uses proper solder instead of regular thermal paste between the die and the heatspreader.
  17. That should be the lock screen... Not sure what's happening though.
  18. The bad PSU most likely caused the other parts to fail. Probably the only way a CPU intensive program can cause other parts to fail is if VRMs (really bad ones) overheat a lot. I wouldn't worry about it at all though.
  19. C16 will work fine, and there shouldn't be a huge difference in performance.
  20. I can definitely vouch for the Logitech G602. The only problems would be that it's really heavy because of the batteries, and the DPI only goes up to 2500.
  21. Looks pretty good, but that one hard drive... White and silver in a sea of red isn't great.
  22. Don't spend more money on it, a 200MHz jump won't do much in terms of performance.
