  1. I run 8700k with kraken x62 Playing games reach 90+ degree, with 4.7ghz all core. I am not sure what to do now =(
  2. The difference is not worth the upgrade. If i were you, i would wait for the rumoured 8-core intel and Z390 platform.. jumping from 4 core to 8 core, you will see bigger improvement.
  3. Update me thanks.. i ordered 8700k with Z370F gaming and kraken x62.. not sure how it will go
  4. Dont get 8100.. the first launch will only have z370 board.. i3 for a Z motherboard is a total waste.
  5. 8700k will most likely be the new king of gaming chip, replacing 7700k. The question is do you want or do you need to be the king? You could just save up the money, and do something else. You have to understand you are getting diminishing return on performance as the price go up.
  6. components will only be more and more efficient. Even SLI probably need 750W/850W only? Unless you want to use this as mining rig. I suggest you check the efficiency graph of this power supply. Your system might be underutilized and drawing a lot of power from your wall.
  7. This may be overkill. 650W/750W is even more than enough for "future proof".
  8. I can accept if it has a little bit higher price. $350 is max limit. Since ryzen just decent on gaming, thats why i favour abit to intel. If i buy ryzen7, probably half of the core will be just sleeping all day long lol
  9. How intel getting one extra customer (me): 1) 21th august better be a release, not just announce. 2) My country better get it early 3) 8700k cost below usd$350 4) Gaming benchmark higher fps than 7700k, even by 1 is enough xp. 5) Overclockable to 5ghz with AIO. Bad tim is expected, hopefully AIO can handle, else delidding is fine i guess. Otherwise bye intel, and ryzen 7 1700 here i come.
  10. Hue+ controller helps you to customize each color zone, or even per LED bulb.. example your led strip has 10 bulbs, you can have 10 different colour at once.. If im not mistaken, rgb header at your mobo is consider as one zone, per header. Less customization.
  11. RGB starter pack: NZXT hue+ (with 4 led strips), NZXT Aer RGB 120mm x2 (x4 if you want to change your AIO fans), NZXT AIO x52/x62, Tridentz RGB ram, Asus Mobo (you have it), Asus GPU (Rog Strix), Tempered Glass case (s340 elite). Good luck
  12. Oops i missed out the part he returned the 6700k. Ofcourse if OP is building new PC then 1700 is the best i can think of. Anyway, going from 6700k to 1700 is really not worth the money, especially for casual gamer like how OP described himself. I guess you don't play much games, or you need those cores for productivity task, then it make sense.
  13. Why would you want to upgrade your PC? It is quite high end for your listed usage. Totally not worth it for you to upgrade to ryzen. It will be just a sidegrade. I would recommend you for zen2 or next cannonlake or whatever they call. Maybe try overclock your cpu if you havent.
  14. Doesnt seem like it.. some even run at medium settings.
  15. 1700 period. Streaming is better with ryzen 7 since it has 8 cores. The only thing 7700k/7740x better is at pure gaming.
