  1. Congratulations on the upgrade! Also a 128gb SSD is going to fill up fast and I suggest going for something in the 250gb range if you can swing it.
  2. So I finally did a bios mod on my 980 Ti since it's underwater now, and boy I'm happy! Now I have to play the waiting game for the next gen of cards to launch so I can grab a 1080 Ti for cheap Temps never exceed 55c 1.281v 1542mhz Core clock 8.2ghz Memory Clock Benchmarks in post 1 updated to reflect the new bios.
  3. Mining. I've seen RX 580's listed at $700+ LOL.
  4. Now isn't a good time with the mining craze as most prices will be inflated. But if you can score one for under 300 it's an okay buy. I bought a reference for 230 a few months ago.
  5. I looked a them, but once you configure it with an i7 and 1050ti it jumps to 1k. I ended up getting a killer deal though. MSI GS60 Ghost Pro i7 6700HQ, GTX 970M for $850 on monoprice. Brand new, not refurb. Edit: I also scored a PM961 512GB NVMe drive (OEM 960 Evo) on Ebay.
  6. In a dilemma and I need your help. I don't laptop game much anymore, but I do photo and video edit a lot so i7 is a must. I think an older laptop with a 970M is my best choice, am I crazy? Example of choices are (but not limited to) Crappish chassis and screen, no SSD, lower RAM but 1060 3gb Graphics MSI GP62MVR Leopard Pro 15.6 Intel Core i7 6th Gen 6700HQ NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 8 GB Memory 1 TB HDD https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834154649 or something like this Premium chassis, light weight, and nvme boot drive but 970M MSI GS40 PHANTOM 14.0" Intel Core i7 6th Gen 6700HQ NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M 16 GB Memory 128 GB SSD 1 TB HDD https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834154425
  7. Yeah, this started as a true budget build but now my goal is more in line with high-end gaming rig for as little money as possible. I could of definitely gotten cheaper used parts, but I wanted this to be super clean as well. I'm picking up the Enthoo Evolv after work then getting started on putting the loop together. I could of left this alone at this point, but I've got a serious tinkering addiction that won't let me stop... Lol
  8. This is hands down the best build I've seen. Bar none. The level of craftsmanship is amazing.
  9. Thanks! I drove about 2hrs for that deal. I wasn't letting it go.
