  1. My friend is upgrading his current pc and doing his first custom pc. He wants to spend around 1-2 thousand pounds (would prefer middle ground). No need for keyboard or anything like that but he does need a 144hz monitor. He will not be streaming at all. Theme he wants black and white.
  2. I would just put a t block off a port towards the bottom of the loop then when you need to drain attach some soft tube in a bucket.
  3. If your going to be doing a good bit of overclocking get the maximus one. I personally have it and has been pretty good i hit 5.2GHZ on my 8700k.
  4. Doesnt seem abnormal as its summer unless you live in AUS. I would only be worried if it was temps like that in the winter or higher.
  5. Didnt know there was a 4 core 8700k.... Main differences are features, cooling for things like m.2 or vrm's and overclocking.
  6. Yea only android doesn't have it seems odd since google owns YouTube. I would have thought android would have gotten it before iOS
  7. It sounds way too good to be true. Im guessing the third party vendor has done something to it. He should be ok if he bought it as amazon has really good customer service and even then he could cancel the charge.
  8. Two would be preferable. Yes there is a difference, it would be dual channel ram vs single channel ram. https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/1349-ram-how-dual-channel-works-vs-single-channel?showall=1
  9. How much would your budget be for everything?
  10. A number in a SSD can mean its data transfer which is how fast it can move files, it can be the size of it like 500GB or 1TB. For choosing a SSD i would go with a middle of the road option that isn't the cheapest but isn't the most expensive. Size would depend on your use case.
  11. I would not get the hybrid ssd first off. I would go with the firecuda then. I personally have a few and have been great no drive failure or anything.
  12. If you want something now i would point you to the Define R6 otherwise i agree with dizmo.
  13. Specs: CPU: 4790k OC to 4.9GHZ GPU: Zotac AMP Extreme 980 RAM: 32GB DDR3 1866Mhz Motherboard: MSI z97 Gaming 3 Cooling: Corsair H100 Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro PSU: Evga 750W Gold+ Storage: 256GB SSD, 2 1TB hDDs Things that are wrong with it: Scratches on the acrylic side panel and the front headphone jack doesn't work.
  14. Performance will most likely be super similar. Go for the cheaper one

  16. Hey guys so i just canceled my Spectrum "Intelligent" home system since it was not working for about 4 months despite their efforts, so i am in need of a new system. What im looking to do: I already have leftover glass senors from Spectrum so i dont need anything like that but, what i do need is multiple cameras and somewhere to store the footage. I don't know what i would need to get this running or what to buy so any help is much appreciated. Would love to keep it as cheap as possible but still good quality.
