  1. Okay, I admit I forgot to put "to be" in my comment, But still it's my opinion that it really is not good enough yet because I was hoping something more from Ryzen, especially when Linus come the demo-try in amd I think (?) Dude I don't hate Ryzen or amd, I was hoping for it to be something better than intel in every aspects because they are not winning the market yet. In fact, you can say that I am kind of a fan of amd. Being a fan doesn't mean we have to say every good about it, I admit it was a huge comeback from amd when Ryzen was released but most people still choose intel over amd (as far as I know in my surrounding) Why people are so triggered? lol
  2. I told Ryzen wasn't good enough COMPARED TO INTEL, that's my opinion based on singe-thread performance But I didn't say Ryzen has BAD performance for daily use These two sentences have different meaning Even the smallest difference still have meaning in consumer's heart lol Of course Ryzen is able to hit such a high performance, knowing the number of cores, so the every task distribute evenly among the used cores, making the temperature stable while intel has less cores have to distribute the task to every cores it has which later make the temperature increase, plus it still has some unused core to support. When temperature increase, cpu can't take more task that make it limited to do multi task on cores and thread.
  3. With budget like that you can even buy him a decent laptop with great graphic card. Many my programmer senior in my college even use gaming laptop as their weapon, Gaming laptop with gtx 1050 graphic are usually under $1000 Their weight are around 2.4 kg if your cousin doesn't mind Example: Asus ROG Strix GL553V and Lenovo Y520
  4. Well if you confident enough of yourself to make your own case, then why not? But keep in mind, you need to design it carefully. Where to put the gpu, cpu , cable managements and holes for ventilation for components need the most like gpu and cpu I have seen some people try to build their own portable case but end up with bulky luggage-like that even more troublesome
  5. Well yeah they are kinda big but small enough to move around and you can even bring it I am not sure if Wii can fit PC components inside, because the main problem is cpu cooler and gpu Even the smallest one won't fit inside wii Your best hope is NFC s4 mini, but it's not on market yet
  6. Yeah I know multi cores do give difference in terms of performance and it sure is future proof, I guess, Indeed because of multi cores amd is winning with ryzen cause the cpu only take about 50% if cpu full performance, That's why i said they need to upgrade the performance of single-thread before intel's comeback Well, if what they said will come true it would be nice to see intel and amd fighting in market, This will be advantage for buyer because when those 2 have similar performance later, the price will determine who wins the market
  7. Wait, are you aiming to build a small-mobile PC? Why don't you watch some videos about mini pc casing from linus tech tips on youtube for reference?
  8. Don't you want to do giveaway or something? *JK Btw, that's a lot of gpu from different eras you have there :3 I am jealous
  9. Well, when the market has high demand while the stocks are limited (because amd has become more popular than before) so yeah they need to increase the price to stabilise their production and selling Get 1060, it's good enough to play big games
  10. Well, I guess you have a point there, Ryzen could be future-proof for having bunch of multi cores built within its cpu But, intel in the other hand who has advantage in single-thread could surpass amd when they start building as many cores as amd cpu has I will put an example like this, imagine amd has a 4 score for each core (8 core of Ryzen) which total 32 score as result. And intel has 5 score with 4 core and the result is 20. Now amd is winning. However, if amd couldn't upgrade the performance of single-thread, then when intel has same amount of cores and threads as amd the result will be : amd with 4 score and 16 cores (Threadkiller) = 64 score intel with 5 score and 16 cores (maybe in future) = 80 score. Anyway this is just an assumption not actual one In another hand, amd still has advantage in better budget than intel This will be a tight competition among them
  11. I didn't say it has a bad performance, but as far as I know some of benchmark results show the single-thread of Ryzen is a bit lower than intel has So far, Ryzen is indeed has good quality and performance, but consumer always want the best even slightest different performance will affect their will to buy
  12. Hmm, I will consider your option Because I am still a student so I need the best budget as I can Btw, any soundbars brand can work with samsung tv?
