  1. just use a magnet switch , it's way easier to implement and just as difficult for normies to figure out
  2. you have dark blue text over black.....obviously thats not going to be very easy to read.
  3. Probably goes without saying but don't download random scripts from the internet.
  4. that board has had 22 bios updates since release , have any of them been applied?
  5. no that would mean its either the cpu or board. you didn't actually confirm your cpu was bad , you only confirmed that the board functions with a different cpu. until you actually replicate the problem with a different board with your original cpu then your board could also be bad.
  6. they meant the functionality of the port , not the physical port itself. and yeah shorting out a usb port can compromise it's functionality.
  7. ok when you swap the ram for different ram then let us know the results Until then if you're hoping for a software fix for the hardware related error then you're going to be spinning your wheels for quite a long time.
  8. no it's not. the ram is the base speed of ddr5 until you overclock it figure out what the model is for the motherboard correctly as this isn't it
  9. why are you not using the previously suggested build
  10. well more likely the way the board is managing them isn't working is more likely than both sticks being bad. is the boards bios up to date? update the bios and then try. if that doesn't work try some different ram (different make/model) , if that doesn't work then try a different board (different make/model) ram is SUPPOSED to be compatible with most boards and boards are SUPPOSED to be compatible with most ram. but it's pretty common these days to find combinations that either don;t work , or aren't working correctly and mismanaging the ram. with the large amounts of memory and speeds these days it's more and more common for these ram lockups to happen.
  11. pull one of the ramsticks out and run it with a single stick alone in the machine and see if it stays stable in that configuration. try each stick alone in the machine. irql_not_less_or_equal is usually just a ram problem. Either the memory itself or the way the board is managing it.
  12. means nothing whats the ram config , also just post the rest of the specs
  13. ok well don't let LMG dictate how you feel even if it is minor. They're paid to sell you crap. That's it. Every time they make a video telling you what you want they're getting money for it. Don't let their "old therefor bad/maximum capitalism" mentality force you to dislike what you have. This is being typed on a 13 year old laptop
  14. It's because every single freaken youtuber on earth keeps explaining bottlenecks horribly and lmg is no exception. whats worse is then people here confirm the wrong explanation of it. just a never ending cycle.
  15. then they are already connected , just share some folders between them and start transferring
  16. No. The chips price to performance ratio is not linear at all. You pay a premeum to have that much speed on a single chip/system. The cost does not directly reflect the amount of performance gained. if your workload can be split up to multiple systems , then it should be. Because several consumer grade chips will outrun a single threadripper pro if the task threads can be allocated separately.
  17. for leds in general yeah it's common. leds are made a lot cheaper and brighter than they used to be and as a result their reliability is quite bad. almost on par or worse than the reliability of under driven incandescent bulbs. So yeah anything you buy regardless of cost that has leds in it can have them burn out. just how it is.
  18. i believe thats a normal function of windows that automatically selects how the folder is displayed by checking what file types are in it. Be it music or pictures or other folders etc.... whether or not it does it correctly is definitely up for debate. but as far as i know there no way to force a default way to view every folder as each folder retains it's own individual settings.
  19. using 4 sticks , and expecting them to reach their advertised maximum overclock speed , is probably the issue.
  20. the i9 has been a product for 7 years and a first generation example would run hotter and be slower than a newer generation cpu that is not an i9. It would also fit into your requirements that it be under 1300$ and be an i9. simply put , purposefully saying "any generation" i9 is a very weird thing to have as a requirement. Having an older gen i9 would be a downgrade from a newer gen cpu that isn't an i9.
  21. do you understand the relationship between a products name and the products speed? becuase saying any generation i9 would indicate you may not be aware that they aren't all new or fast also , do you need a desktop or a laptop , becuase it would be quite unwise to shop for a laptop if you don't need a laptop
