  1. Going to purchase Rainbow 6, but wonder if their is any beneift to buying off uplay vs steam? Both are on sale for the same price, and i dont think the Ubi club point discount would apply on a sale item.
  2. Hearing Coil Whine when the GPU load ramps up. (At least fairly certain it is GPU, but it is heard when GPU is used) Any rec's on how to get rid of this? Titan XP(? (The first pascal not the second one))
  3. Restarted again now hovering at around 30% at startup, dont know what happened...
  4. I have opened up the processes and I've got CAM, Discord, Vivaldi/Chrome, and Adobe CC taking up all these resources.
  5. 16gb and currently around 15 or more is in use. OS: Windows 10 Home I have some startup apps it looks like around 17 but I have had these the entire time and only recently (I think) has the ram usage been this high.
  6. My computer is almost a year old (yay) but recently the ram usage has spiked to 90% being used at idle and after reboot. Any help would be appreciated on getting it back down.
  7. With the new coffee lake processors additional stock should be coming in the next few months. You may have to wait a little more, but you would be getting the newest release.
  8. I know. When I got my ram I paid around 70-80 for 2 sticks of 8 gb vengence 3000mhz. Now it costs around 140-150 for the same set if not a lesser speed. Should have bought more...
  9. yeah with bitcoin unless you have a pretty serious mining rig you arnt going to make anything. If you really are interested in cryptocurrencies looking at an alt coin would be your best bet and trying to be anywhere near profit with your machine, but without a gpu you would have to find one that works well only with cpus ( ea Monero) but even then it's unlikley with such lower powered stuff.
  10. Its on my main pc. Might be time to have an excuse for new speakers.
  11. Using a set of speakers and occasionally-actually quite frequently-they will start buzzing that is really annoying that lasts a few seconds. How do I make this stop.
  12. If your creating a site that is static (just html, css, and js) then use github pages. Its free and easy. I have done both setting up a home webserver and using github to host my site and I would only recommend setting up the home webserver if you really want to learn about how that all works. Otherwise use github and have it run 24/7 with no cost. Want to get even more lazy use jekyll and upload a theme. Just fill in content in the template and you have a fancy new site. Want a nice fancy domain name put in $10 and have a fancy dot com. And if your doing freelancing the $10 domain name should very well be worth it.
  13. If you lived near a MicroCenter you could get a 1700x for $289.99 + $30 off mobo.
  14. I found an old pair of Pioneer sp-510v speakers that have a red and black cord coming from the back. Are these good speakers? Can I solder these wires to a 3.5mm headphone jack and use them as my computer speakers? They are rated for, I believe, 60w so would I need an additional amp, and if so what amp? OR should I just go get new speakers and not bother trying to use these old ones. I don't know a lot about audio setups so any advice would be helpful.
  15. I'm looking for recommendations on speakers for my PC that fit within my budget of around $50 and are the best sound quality. I understand that quality does not always come with cheap and would be willing to spend more if there is a great noticeable difference or good reason for the price increase, but would preferably stay within the budget.
