Nope, nothing wrong with this solar panel setup. 

 

Anyway, this admittedly very janky setup is going to my room.

This is clearly a 24v pannel (you almost always don't get the full voltage, especially when there is no full sunlight, especially when you consider that these panels are over 5 years old, thus degradation).

 

I'm gonna solder the wires and bring them in my room and get a voltage regulator.

    Its sounds more like a 12v panel under no load

    @iamdarkyoshi The solar panel regulators work with either, so it doesn't matter. 

     

    I did put a load on it though albeit a light one, and the voltage didn't drop.
