I saw the old FitnessDesk 2000 video where you had to exercise to get power to the PC. Now the next step would be to make a version dedicated to games by adjusting the concept a bit. My idea is as follows:
Use the human input energy (exercise) to cool CPU and GPU. Modern Cpu's and Gpu's run faster when better cooled, so for our gamer he will need to exercise more for a better FPS. The implementation would require the exercise machine to mechanically or electrically power the pump and fans for a water cooled pc. The pc runs off wall power as normal.
This project would be ideal for Alex and his new Workshop.

I have to admid that I never worked with 3ware cards but as leadeater mentioned your card is very probalby buggy. My approach would be to get a new (identical) RAID card (short look on ebay shows some used 98000-8 ports cards from 10$ up).  Importatnt is to use a similar manufacturer and the card should not be older.
You can then attach the drives to the new controller and it is possible that the card will recognize the array and start a rebuild.

It's far too soon to try using Ryzen as a hypervisor, that is a rather specialized task and requires tight integration which just isn't there yet. All (x86/AMD64) hypervisors are optimized for Intel's stack of technologies, VT-x/VT-d etc, so trying to use Ryzen now will almost certainly result in not just one issue but multiple issues.

Wait until Naples is released and watch the enterprise focused reviews on it.
