  1. i can agree with @The Flying Slothon choosing the Behringer UMC 202HD, i have the bigger brother (UMC404HD) and have occasionally used it to record all kinds of musical instruments. Other than that I can say that they are built like a tank, mine was sadly dropped more than once but it has only some scratches left from that. And does anithing need to be said about bang for the buck, because in my opinion you almost can't beat it.
  2. Here at home i name devices like network shares and IOT devices after big scientists, so I had Newton, Archimedes and Curie. Maybe its something you like maybe you need to adjust them to your area of interest
  3. To answer your question, yes it will work. But the quality will not be great and the chance there will be a lot of humming is also high. To solve that problem i would go with an audio interface if you have the money. If you want plug and play with no extra features you can go with these: - https://www.thomann.de/intl/the_tbone_usb1x.htm - https://www.thomann.de/intl/behringer_mic_2_usb.htm - https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MIC2USB--behringer-mic2usb But if you want more features and higher quality you can go for any of the following: - Behringer UMC 22 or one of the bigger variants (202, 202hd, 204hd, 404hd) - Focusrite scarlett solo I myself have gotten the Behringer umc 404hd and am very positive about it although i have never tried any of the other ones.
  4. You can also use a program like produkey. To get the key from your current pc. And enter that when installing windows. If it gives an error, you will have to use the telephone activation system. But that is probably not necessary. edit: wrong link
  5. 1. Spotify, it sounds good enough and is cheap. sometimes i listen to other stuff like YouTube but mostly spotify. 2. Speakers, i have a pair of headphones but i don't really like the sound of them so i use my speakers. I know that they are a little big (LEM T400) but they sound great and go really loud. 3. almost 1000. i got my speakers and aplifier second hand for around €350, DAC = €100, mixing board was second hand €150, flightcases = €200, and i spend almost €100 in cables. 4. yes. i use a behringer u-phoria umc404hd to get two outputs from my pc. that way i can mix the levels of system sounds and everything on one channel and spotify on another. 5. with my speakers, i find it difficult to hear the difference between spotify at the highest quality and a flac file. but i ca really hear the difference between high and low quality on spotify. 6. power conditioning is almost never necessary, except if you have either a really bad amplifier or really distorted power. There is really a difference between really low quality cables and high quality cables. but i don't se a point in audiophile priced cables that have been treated by elves under the full moon.
  6. Just go to aliexpress and buy 20 meter of rgb strip and 4 wifi rgb controllers. you can't run all of them of off one controller because it draws too much current. and than in the app set them to the same setting.
  7. Firstly, welcome to this hobby that will cost you way to much money and time. At first you are gonna need some cables. To connect your computer and your ps4 to the mixer you will need a cable that goes from one 3,5mm to two 6,3mm jacks. One like this one will work. You will plug the 3,5mm end into your pc or console and the 6.3 mm ends into the mixer into the plugs marked green. You can plug your mic into one of the ports marked red. To get better quality audio out of your pc you can also plug it into the usb port on the back and set that to be your audio device in windows (don't forget to switch the switch marked orange to usb. Lastly plug your headphones into the port marked blue. Now power on the mixer and switch on the pc/ps4. adjust the level whit the withe knobs on the bottom of the board and increase the volume of your headphones to your liking. ps: the costing way to much money thing is real.
  8. Isn't this exactly what you are looking for? Because depending what you want to do, those specs are quite great.
  9. you will need to join the graan wire to one of the black wires to make it tun on, you will also need to add either a resistor or lamp on one of the rails to make sure that there is always a load on the psu. if you just search for pc power supply mod you will find hundreds of guides about how you need to do this.
  10. For about the same price you can get either an behringer X air XR-12 or an Soundcraft Ui12. These are digital mixers you control with a tablet or phone. you can configure per input where it goes, so you can say like my mic should go to the main out but not to the aux outputs. if you attach an headphone amp to the aux outputs, you have complete control over it. edit: i would not attach the headphone to headphone output because you have less control over it.
  11. it depends on what frequency amateur radio you want to receive. with that frequency you can calculate the wavelength, and with that you can calculate how big a certain antenna should be. i am not an expert on this topic, but i think you would be better of going to an amateur radio forum.
  12. it sounds like neither the fans, nor the pump is working. On startup go into the bios and check if the fans are detected at all, and if the fans are enabled. if they are not detected try plugging them into another fan header or changing the fan curves.
  13. this one seems ok, most of the reviews are positive, the only complaint is that it is a little bit stiff, and the clamp could be better. if you have a little more cash to spare, it would be a better idea to get the RODE PSA 1. it is a little more expensive, but reading from the reviews, a lot better built. as it looks like from the pictures, you will need an adaptor to mount your mic to the rode arm
