  1. Actually my home office is at the opposite end of the house so I wouldn't be able to use the 5GHz band there. I also won't be able to move the router any closer for many reasons. I like it but at $300 that's overkill for an apartment, especially considering the fact that just a few extra meters of coverage would be enough. However I wouldn't be against using just one repeater.
  2. My phone is also struggling in this room. It's a OnePlus 7. It does have a better signal though but it often switches to 4G. I'm not sure if buying a more powerful WiFi card would solve the problem completely.
  3. My main computer as I work from home, but also my laptop, my phone, my TV but also 3-4 other phones and laptops for the rest of my family. I don't think so but I wouldn't be able to switch to 5GHz because the signals has to cross quite a lot of walls.
  4. Hi, So this is my current router: https://www.tp-link.com/fr/home-networking/dsl-modem-router/archer-vr400/ I'm not happy with Its range so I'm not sure if I should buy a WiFi repeater, pair it with an access point, or just replace it. I would also need WiFi cards recommendations since I'm using a cheap USB one. I live in a rather large apartment and would need just about 2-3 extra meters of coverage. CPL and cable aren't options. Any recommendations?
  5. Maybe if you can consider the fact that demanding titles use a lot of battery, and you will then have the charge the tablet more often and therefore use more power cycles than you would if you weren't gaming.
  6. You should stick to 2D games and retro titles. I would recommend the Rayman series for instance and indie games Limbo or Electronic Super Joy.
  7. I got mine brand new for $450, which is about $100 less, and it has twice more storage and 2GB of extra RAM, so that's better specs. Considering that the S10e might have a less powerfull Exynos SoC, and that the OP has a better OS support, I can live with the bigger screen size and buy a $100 pair of bluetooth headphones.
  8. Depends on where they live. Only the US and a few other variants have the SD855 and considering that all variants cost the same price it's hard to recommend any Exynos variant over a Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro or a OP7. I had the exact same dilemma and wanted a compact device but I ended up getting a OP7, which had way better specs for much cheaper.
  9. Bought it already but I didn't realize that it was 49GB to download and 50GB once uncompressed. Not sure what kind of compression that is but hey it's an EA game.
  10. Hi, I was looking for a good deal and I can see that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is currently at about $15 on the Epic Game Store while it's still at around $50 on Steam. Am I missing something?
  11. They used to be lower. I think resetting the CPU cooler should help quite a bit.
  12. Alright air cooling it is. Thanks for your replies.
  13. Interesting. However would it be possible for an AiO to cool both the CPU and the GPU using the Kraken?
  14. That's pretty cool (pun intended)). However I can see at $75 on Newegg while the Kraken is at $30, although it requires an extra piece. What's the best deal?
  15. That's what I thought. For now I think I'll just an extra fan and replace the thermal compound. And I guess I should also put my headphones when gaming.
  16. I've never done any water cooling in the past. How much would the most bang for the buc solution cost for a GPU? And how much for cooling both the GPU and the CPU?
  17. Would it be possible somehow to water cool my GPU? It's an MSI Air Boost VEGA 56.
  18. Actually I have SpeedFan installed and I think that because these are 3-pin case fans, it won't allow me to tweak their speed. However I might be able to tweak those settings in the BIOS. With that said, I have no idea what the fan should look like. Interesting question. I think I have an issue at this level because when I first built this PC, the temperatures would stay under 40°C at idle in summer. The CPU is currently at 50 at idle. The cooler might have moved a little bit when I moved my office to another room. I took this screenshot 5 minutes ago while rendering a video. I believe I cannot fit a particularly large radiator in my case. It's an Aercool Shard. Not sure if it would fit in my case.
  19. Hi, I have a Ryzen 5 2600X CPU and a blower style MSI Vega 56 on my system, both of which tend to get loud on load. I have 3 120mm fans in front of my case and one in the back. My CPU cooler is an Arctic Freezer 33 TR. The fans are audible at idle but that's okay. The main issue is when I start rendering a video and the CPU cooler gets very loud. Do I have any option other than switching to water cooling? As I currently have only one fan CPU on the CPU cooler, would adding a second one help with the noise? I can also add two fans on top side of the case. Would that help? I believe that for the GPU not much can be done, but do you think there's any trick with blower style GPU's? Thanks
  20. I think you need a larger desk
  21. It would be interesting if it wasn't just about game development. I'd be down for a coding competition.
  22. They all are great and there are even more of them like Avocode. I use XD personally because it's part of my Creative Cloud subscription but I've used Avocode in the past and I've had no complaint. I particularly liked the fact that it was compatible with Linux.
  23. XD allows to make UI demos but so do most app design applications like Figma, Invision or Sketch.
