  1. What is weird is when I watched it earlier the title and description were fine. But now it's all broken. Oof.
  2. Absolutely thrilled to see the awesome work of CTCaer (Hekate) and the entire Switchroot team being put up on display from such a big channel. There is a few more things you can also do with this such as: Running Ubuntu Running Lakka (RetroArch on top of Linux) Running Atmosphere (A custom firmware made by team Reswitched) I'm a member of team AtlasNX. (Our guide is actually linked inside the XDA forum post.) We mainly write homebrew to enhance the custom firmware experience and create a bundle called Kosmos that comes with Hekate, Atmosphere, and some must have homebrew. Not sure if I'm allowed to post our Discord on here, but if anyone needs any help setting up your Switch our community is super helpful and friendly. (We do not support or condone piracy of any kind, so if you are looking for help with that you will have to look elsewhere.)
  3. Did you guys do something different with this video? Can't play it on Firefox in Linux.
  4. It's specifically with replaced screens. The latest version of High Sierra is disabling brightness controls on screens that were replaced on MacBooks. Louis Rossman recently talked about this in a video regarding the same thing Apple is pulling with iPhones.
  5. Problem is even if you could find a replacement screen not through Apple you will probably run into the same issue that Macbook Pro users are currently running into with the latest update of High Sierra. Third-party replacement screens are unable to adjust their brightness due to the EDID chip on the screen not matching. RIP iMac Pro.
  6. After going through the Intercept code a bit and changing the code to pull from 10 keyboard and 10 mice to 100 keyboard and 0 mice. I'm running into an error when it calls "DeviceIoControl" at index 20. The error is "The handle is invalid.". Now If I were to assume what is going on here. The drivers are limited to 20 (10 Keyboards and 10 Mice) and the library is also limited to 20 (10 keyboards and 10 mice). Just changing the library isn't enough as the second you try to query for "\\.\interception20" that device doesn't exists. ("\\.\interception00" - "\\.\interception19" all exists and makes up the original 20.) Because only the library is open-source and not the drivers I'm currently stuck.
  7. I do not have enough keyboards to test, but I have recompiled the interception drivers and replaced them in the "library" folder of the installer. Please give this a shot: https://github.com/StevenMattera/Interception/releases/tag/v1.0.1.1 I had it working with Intercept with 3 different keyboards: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate, Logitech G710+, and Logitech K830. All keyboards worked with intercept.exe and was able to output "test1", "test2", and "test3" when I hit a button on each of the keyboards. Also though I only had 3 keyboards connected I had 17 HID devices in my device manager. Edit: The more I'm looking at this I'm wonder if the drivers are not what is limiting the number of devices, but the library that communicates with the drivers. Thus Intercept.exe needs to be recompiled with the new libraries I made. I will have a new copy of intercept.exe for you here shortly.
  8. Older Razer mouses used to be good I had an original Razer Naga that lasted years and was a great mouse. Unfortunately when it died I went with a Razer Nage Epic Chroma, which at the time it was an $170 mouse. After about a year and a half I started having scrolling issues and when I opened it up the lithium ion battery was inflated. As you can expect my trust in Razer in providing a quality mouse that will last has diminished. This would be his third now that I've provided him for Christmas. Was hoping there was something that was better so I can stop the chain of buying him a new mouse for Christmas.
  9. Looking for a gift for my dad, who is left handed, last year I got him a Logitech G300S for Christmas, but the switches are already dying on it. (Most likely from when he was playing WoW and he clicks all his abilities instead of using the keyboard.) He doesn't really use the extra buttons on the mouse and just needs a simple mouse, but with good switches and sensor as he still plays games. (ARK Survival Evolved, 7 Days to Die, etc...) My brothers and I all have Logitech G502 with no issues, so I'm not sure if he just got a defective mouse or are the G300S just bad. Any advice would be appreciative as I'm right handed.
  10. The most important thing is to make sure they are shielded so you don't get cross talk especially with the video and audio. (A white screen can cause a hum on the audio without shielding.) I would say you would want shielded pairs for the R, G, B, C-Sync, Left Audio, and Right Audio. So you would want 12 conductors for the signal cable and ground cable of each of the signals I listed before. Just make sure they are shielded pairs and shielded on the outside to prevent outside cross talk.
  11. Sounds like it may be a heat issue. You may still have a warranty, but if you don't I would first try and take it apart and apply some new thermal paste to the APU.
  12. Switches as long as they aren't doing any kind of up-scaling or processing shouldn't add lag. Both the XRGB-Mini Framemeister and the OSSC are great devices and if you have a chance to get either then get them. The XRGB-Mini Framemeister is a low-latency upscaler and when matched with Firebrand X profiles it's great for retro consoles (http://www.firebrandx.com/framemeisterprofiles.html). However the OSSC is a zero-latency scanline converter. The OSSC is able to do simple up-scaling without adding lag such as Line(2x,3x,4x,5x) modes. It also comes with the benefit of being able to handle resolution changes easily unlike the XRGB-Mini Framemeister. (For example Chrono Cross on the PS1 is in 240p except for the menu where it's 480p. With the Framemeister you will have a few seconds of black screen when going into the menu vs the OSSC.) For more information I highly suggest watching the My Life in Gaming RGB Master Class 100, 200, and 300 levels: https://www.youtube.com/user/mylifeingaming/playlists Their Framemeister episode: Their Framemeister alternatives episode:
  13. Didn't think it was actually possible, but you guys managed to go over less of this monitor than Kyle did. Didn't use or show the split screen PIP features. Didn't talk about the border shadow that you could clearly see in the video. Didn't talk about the Game Mode and the different fast, normal and slow modes. Didn't go over what the input lag of the monitor was with the Makey Makey like you did a few videos ago.
  14. Been waiting for this video and now they are teasing me with a broken video. NOOOOOO.... I've actually been looking at this monitor as a TV in my game room specifically for low response time. For old consoles that need an up-scaler low response time is a must have.
