  1. I like the advertised features of the Fitbit Charge 5, but I really don't like the idea of supporting the nonsense of paying monthly for features the watch already has built in (What's the point in paying for a sensor I can't even use long term?). Thankfully, there's a 6 months free trial and apparently the possibility of getting more free time due to possible glitch according to reddit. I also wonder if factory resetting the watch and clearing the phone's cache / re-installing the phone app would also give more free trial time, if anyone knows, plz let me know as that would make this decision far easier to make. Anyway, I've been doing a lot of digging around on review and compare websites, most of which having misleading information, but I can't seem to find anything with the same features or better for a similar price. I don't care at all about smartphone features or music or GPS or even call or text stuff. I only care about fitness and health related features and if possible the best water resistance rating as possible as I plan to swim long distances with it on (so minimum 5ATM). From what I've seen, the EDA scan and skin temp variation are the difficult ones to find in a watch. SpO2, HRV and ECG seem to be much more common now. Has anyone gone through as much or more digging around into this area and can fill me in on what's out there that I may have missed? Right now, I can get a Charge 5 "pebble only", 2 custom wristbands and an original charger (all separate purchases) for a total of around $150CAD. I doubt I can get a better price than that, but I don't want to spend much more than that either. Also, keep in mind that I'm the kind of person who very proudly bought a Samsung M30s (suggested by a user from here, thanks again btw) and enjoys the 2 weeks of phone battery life between charges. I'm not one of those high schoolers that prefers flashy stuff over function. I'm nearing middle age with plenty of health issues (mostly sleep related) and a recent interest in some exercise, hence the reason for wanting to buy one. EDIT: Lack of response made me just buy the Charge 5. I just hope I don't regret it.
  2. Plz make a video about how printers are designed to fail and how ALL of them are garbage and often fail after only a few years of use. Just the fact that manufacturers will brick your printer the moment you attempt to use an aftermarket toner cartridge should be a video in itself. These companies need to be called out and shamed heavily for this disgusting behavior. Just imagine all the plastic waste that comes from printers too.
  3. There's a massive difference between challenging someone and being demeaning. If you weren't so full of yourself, you'd see why I'm so upset about the outcome of this topic.
  4. This is about the only valuable information anyone has said here. Thanks for that. Although I do find it weird that LTT forums and LTT store are not affiliated in any way with each other. Reminds me of corporations. One hand not talking to the other. The rest of what was said by everyone here was without a doubt demeaning and arrogant. To assume I don't know what I'm talking about, even after stating my 15+ years of online shopping experiences and the fact that I described everything in detail and somehow things still got misunderstood,... unbelievable.
  5. My problem is that the price changed on me a total of 3 times (twice on site + 1 PayPal), and at the end of it, I still didn't really know how much I paid for the product until I saw my PayPal email invoice showing the total in Canadian dollars. In fact, not showing the conversion is only a minor gripe (even though they could easily fix that), it's the price changing multiple times without even so much as a proper head's up that it's doing it... that's the real issue here. Not everyone in the world just throws their money around blindly. I am not complaining for the sake of complaining. This is an actual issue that should not exist and in fact, I have not seen this issue before despite having made thousands of online purchases over the 15 or so years that I've been doing it. I want to know what I'm paying without having to figure it out after I'm already committed into it.
  6. Could you please not be sneaky with your LTT store product pricing? I added your desk mat to cart, then I entered my PayPal info and PayPal confirmed about 40 CAD, then suddenly the shipping costs showed up in to the equation which is not entirely a surprise given that the site only just got my address after entering my PayPal info (although it could have just asked for my Postal Code or something for an estimated shipping cost). Anyway, I confirmed that, and then a tax cost snuck in out of nowhere which I only noticed because I always take my time at stuff like that (which is why I still can't get my hands on an RTX card even though I've been trying since the very beginning). Anyway, it just feels manipulative even if you're not doing it on purpose. It's bad enough to have pricing in USD which makes the product look a lot less expensive than it actually is (since it doesn't even show the CAD conversion after knowing I'm Canadian), but to sneak in all the other costs on top at the last minute when you're basically already committed... not cool. I feel like I paid twice the price for it, which technically, I sort of did since the product is 30 USD and by the end of it, I paid 61.71 CAD for it. Had I not been paying close attention, I wouldn't have known this. There are much better ways to handle the checkout than that and I hope LTT takes this into consideration after reading this.
  7. I know you weren't pointing fingers, I just prefer to clarify things, especially since no one knows anything about me here.
  8. For the record, I'm 35 with over 15 years experience in the tech industry, including fixing / building thousands of computers for schools and other non-profit organizations and hundreds for other customers outside of work. I've also probably watched around 95% of Linus's videos (among other tech channels) just because the subject is one of my passions and it's good to keep up to date with the latest stuff being released and whatnot. Just to clarify things as I do feel kind of new here in these forums since I really never post much despite having joined in 2017, but that's about as far as it gets with me.
  9. Who said anything like that? I think you're just making assumptions. I just wanted to see a video on it out of sheer curiosity and to see if it could be done with that specific Intel cooler. I know TECs are a bit dumb and this cooler only exists because Intel is that desperate.
  10. That's your own opinion with no evidence at all to claim it as fact, especially since I myself care, therefore your "no one" is blatantly false. Fact is, there's a lot of videos and news articles on GPU scalping / prices and even ppl fighting against it as best they can and none at all (as far as I'm aware) for iphones. My own opinion is that you might be an Apple fanboy and are now upset with my comments.
  11. Well, you're right, derBauer did make a video on it:
  12. I buy from all over, but mainly from China for the small items as it saves a lot when it comes to their free shipping. Being a patient person, I don't even care that it takes 2 months for something to arrive in the mail, just as long as it does eventually show up in good condition and shipping didn't cost me anything.
  13. That's probably because you don't know how to use the website. I shop there all the time saving myself a lot of money. And anything that feels like junk (which is rare as junk is usually pretty obvious) or if the product doesn't get delivered to me, I just demand a refund and I always get it because eBay and PayPal protection. It's very difficult to get away with a scam on eBay unless you agree to accept it. No one cares about iphones because Apple users have been completely accepting with this level of mistreatment. They've been getting ripped off and served poorly for many years without any real complaints. Apple users will continue to be treated this way so long as they keep buying their overpriced products with pathetic warranty practices. It would if there was enough ppl making a big deal about it. Trust me, I've seen large companies get buried and shut down for months due to all the hate from ppl which in turn was a massive loss in revenue as well as permanent bad reputation. It's as they say, the larger they are, the harder they fall. I understand this isn't too big of a deal right now, but if it keeps escalating, then it will be. Btw, now there's 4 of them being advertised at twice the normal price, 3 of which have sold out. It's already escalating. I imagine bots are now buying them from newegg and then reselling them on newegg for twice the price. This cycle will never end.
  14. Bad reputation can hurt them a lot more than short term money, I've seen it many times before. Ya, fake sales are always really annoying to see. I'm not blind, I saw that too, but that's completely irrelevant. Newegg has every option to stop that seller from being allowed to do this. They make claims about trying to find ways to stop scalping, and then this happens (or at least the tech channels who have spoken to them made that claim).
  15. Newegg has every right to stop it before it happens, just like they have every right to put a bot / human detection script thing before being able to purchase a GPU (or anything else for that matter). They simply don't care that much.
