Sell the PC after building the new one.

Both the router and WiFi card have to support 5 Ghz to work. So if your current router doesn't support 5Ghz then you will have to replace the router OR purchase a wireless AP that can take place of the Wireless AP thats builit in to the Home Hub 1000. 
 
Also keep in mind the WiFi card you linked it like an Wireless N900 card, meaning it cant go the speeds that AC could achieve. Thought its not a bad WiFi card, I used to use this in my gaming rig before I got a wired connection, my mom currently uses this in your computer.
