I wish someone would do a teardown on the Escobar flip phone.

It looks identical to a Samsung Fold.

It's got to be money laundering.

    Seems like they are just reject Folds from Samsung with a sticker slapped onto them.

    I heard it's just a rebrand of the Royole FlexPai which of course is well know for being the best foldable smartphone in existence /s

    @Cyberspirit Ahhh interesting. Which makes sense, the Unbox Therapy video showed it still had the Samsung model number. Did it mention what made them rejects?

    @FloRolf Should have specified, Fold 2.

    I haven't looked much into it but, according to this video, the phones were either rejects that didn't make it into the stores, units that have been sent back by people or just overstocked ones that didn't have any issues.

    The Fold flopped pretty hard on launch so I would guess that they jumped on the opportunity and bought them from Samsung for basically nothing.
