It's -8 outside. I have my window wide open. And it's still uncomfortably warm.

I can't wait to move ?

Damn this was like my old apartment. We were right over the mechanical room so it was windows open even in January lol.

    -8?  Warm?

BRRRR!!! ❄?☃??  I would find it hard to function at that temperature.

Heck, even 70 can sometimes be a little chilly, sometimes I might be wanting a sweater at that temperature.

On the other hand, 95 to 104 or so feels pretty good, especially if it's fairly dry :) And even 113+ (and possibly 120) could be bearable if it's really dry (like a desert) and I'm carrying water to drink. :)

I remember a time near home a few years ago, it was in the mid 80s °, humidity also up there (maybe 70s idk) due to moisture from a thunderstorm that grazed us.  Then a couple weeks later, I went to the desert.  It was 113° and maybe 10-15% humidity, and actually felt better, than at home when the humidity and temp were flirting with the 80s.

Another time, I was at a convention, also in another part of the desert.  One evening after things wound down for the night, around midnight or 1 am I went out to get some ice cream.  I forget what ice cream place I went to, but I'm sure it was good, and I remember it being probably about 100 degrees or so and dry, and it felt pretty good. :)

@Cyberspirit Haha, well it's similar to hell, so you're probably not far off..

@Theguywhobea Yeah I'm pretty sure I'm in a similar boat...the wall beside my bed is always warm to the touch so I'm pretty sure the buildings hot water pipes run through it ? I wish I could leave my window open, unfortunately once it hits -15 there's too much of a risk of the pipes freezing...so in a few weeks the windows will be shut tight for many months.

@PianoPlayer88Key -8 is super warm, especially as we get on with winter. Average temp here is probably around -20, with stretches of -40 or lower. Yeah humidity is the killer, luckily it's pretty dry here, so unlike the coast, the cold isn't as noticeable unless you don't dress appropriately.

yeah, you must live in a much colder area than I do.  Here, it only dips into the 20s at night once every several years or so.  30s at night does happen more often, and usually every winter it does dip down into the 40s at night.  As for daytime, it's rare to not reach at least 60 even in winter, and some winter days can hit 70 or so.

Once in a while the weather will get a bit weird and it might hit 90 or close to 100 for one or two days in winter or so, but usually the hot spells outside summer like that are more like October or November, sometimes December.

I remember a couple years ago, it was like a bit over 100 degrees a few days before a holiday we have the fourth thursday in November, then cooled down to more normal temperature, then right before Christmas it was flirting with 90 degrees.

On the other hand, often the coldest times of the year here, I think, are more toward February / March or so, sometimes January and/or early April.

    BTW .... I'm gonna guess you're talking about °C, right? ;)

As for the temperature scale I'm using .... well ... I said 113° was fairly comfortable earlier .... how comfortable would you think 113°C would be? :P (or 113°K :P )

Aye, northern most city with over a million people.

Haha, of course. 113C you'd be dead ? Even at 40+C you can feel the heat push down on you.
