  1. Oh, wow, I feel very stupid. Though I did check to see if tablet mode was on and there was no slider for it, so I don't feel that dumb. I found a way to disable it though, thanks.
  2. Everyone already forgot about the $4000 trash can, what are you talking about
  3. Was just using my Windows 10 PC like normal and out of nowhere I get a blast from the past with THIS Windows 8 style garbage. The lesson I learned today is that nostalgia is not always a good thing. I can't figure out how to get rid of it either... Is this a new thing in Windows? How do I get rid of it?
  4. So it turns out that that was the problem. Talked to Microsoft support and they gave me a new one, thanks for the help all!
  5. Define "lag", because really it could be the internet or the GPU, or maybe it's twitch?
  6. Will do, yeah im usin a CD, i got me a disk drive cuz my car is old and its stero wont hook up to my phone, so i gotta burn my fire mixtapes onto disks, and fuck buying external drives when i have like 5 internal ones layin around amirite? I know a couple sites to download windows ISO's but where do you suggest i go for them? Cuz the sites i go to just give you the demo
  7. Hey all, just got my hands on a Samsung 960 EVO NVMe SSD, popped it into my computer, installed Windows 10, and all seemed right with the world. Then, I tried updating windows 10, and now everytime I boot up it simply shows a blank screen, no sign in screen, nothing, just blank. I've tried reinstalling windows, using the various repair tools on the repair disk, and everything else I could think of, but the update always breaks it, and as you all know, windows 10 pre update was pretty broken, and I'd rather not just try to live with that. (Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, but I couldn't find a better fitting one) I haven't been able to use my computer for three days and I've been using my tablet which is not fun, so any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
  8. I think it already has rubber thingys, but maybe no the stock ones that came with the hard drive cage would do better lol. I dont know if i want to turn it off while its not being used it it increases tear... But ill give it a shot, ill turn off all the other fans and moving things to see just how much noise its making. As for the LED's in not real found of gluing things to my case, maybe velcro would work. (but then my lazy ass has to venture out of my house to buy it, grrrrrr)
  9. I feel you with the friends thing, all my friends have yet to ascend to the PC masterrace (or they just have a really ass PC), but are there that many friends that you wouldn't be able to have fun otherwise? If so you might consider the Ps4 (or just tell them that you dont care if thier laptop can only run the Division at 15 fps low settings and that they will get thier ass on there and like it lmao.) As far as optimization goes, no offense, but your graphics card is the low end nvidia card of 2013, so I think a better chip would solve the "optimization" issue.
  10. So I recently replaced my GTX H100i water cooler with a Dark Rock 3 air cooler (yes i tried an RMA, but thats not at all what this is about, and for the record, the Dark Rock 3 is performing almost the same as my H100i did) Anyways, besides the old piece of sh*t failing, I replaced my old cooler with the air cooler because its much quieter. But now a new annoyance has arisen, my hard drive. My hard drive is louder than my fans (unless those front case fans are just really screwed up). And I would like my PC to be to be much closer to silent, the problem is that i dont have buckets of cash to buy a 1TB SSD with. Is there any way I could make my HDD quieter? PS: As I was typing this an LED strip fell from the top of my PC for the 3rd time this month, duct tape is not a good adhesive for hot things evidently, any other suggestions?
  11. But why would you get a PS4 for youtube and streaming? A PC would do essentially the same thing just at a better framerate, graphics, etc.
  12. Buy an elgato (you could probably find a used one online for like 50 bucks), or, if you are on windows 10, use the Xbox app to record game play (not as refined, but its free). Not completely sure why you'd need to buy anything to record youtube videos though lol.
  13. Thats the PS4 Pro, not Xbox Scorpio. Microsoft has explicitly said that it renders at native 4K. The Xbox One S was the one that upscaled to 4k. (But if Scorpio turns out to just upscale from 1080p Microsoft is going to lose a fortune, and they know it, so Scorpio better render in native 4K)
  14. personally id go with a PC upgrade any day, but then again im kindve PC bias (cuz they are awsome).
