  1. Possibly, no idea. I'll probably open it up if there's no solution someone else can provide me. Might I add, it only happens in specific games. Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is actually one of the games that it's happening all the time in... Even other games that include movement, it won't do this, with the controls being 'A' as well.
  2. Hello, I've been having this weird issue the past few days where my applications, specifically games, register me pressing 'A' or the '←' key very randomly. Once it happens I either have to mash '←' and '→' to fix the issue or just close and re-open the game. And in some cases, re-opening the game doesn't even fix it. Once it occurs, it will still persist even after unplugging my keyboard. In fact, it will occur so randomly, I haven't found how to replicate it or anything. I own a Corsair K70, and I have accidentally spilled a small amount of water into the opening under the space bar before, but this was nearly 7-8 months ago, and after a couple of days letting it dry, it worked completely fine again. Maybe this correlates to the issue I'm having now somehow? So, how would I go about fixing this? Do I need a new keyboard or something? I don't have a spare to troubleshoot this with, is it worth just buying a cheap $10-$20 one to see if it'd work fine? Thanks.
  3. It's completely brand new. I just told Windows 8.1 before it installed, to install it on my SSD. That's really all I've done.
  4. Recently after putting my PC together I'm not sure if my current temperatures at idle are proper or not for what I have. I have an i5-4670k with a Hyper 212 EVO. I used some IC Diamond instead of the stock paste that came with the product. I don't have my graphics card just yet so I can't do full-blown testing with heavy game loads or what else, but for the most part with a lighter game running off of integrated graphics at 1080p (27% CPU or so), it seems to be putting the cores up to around 35C-50C. Is this normal? I haven't overclocked or anything either so I feel it should be a bit cooler than this. Maybe I'm expecting too much? I feel I put enough paste down and that I installed the cooler properly, so I'm not really sure. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hi everyone. I've just finished putting together a new computer but for some reason my WD Blue 1TB isn't showing up, though, my 128GB SSD *is* showing up. Here's a snap I took to show you: But, in the Disk Manager it does show up like this: I would like to obviously store most of the stuff that's not specific games / programs and other files onto my 1TB. Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm really new to this (owned a laptop until now). What do I do to get it to show up for use?
  6. Yesss. Would love to have one! Streaming and using Photoshop on this thing would be glorious.
  7. Yeah that PSU would be awesome to have, better than my current one D:
  8. Recently I've been wanting to put Windows 8.1 on my laptop to replace the Window 7 Home Premium on it (I'm part of that small percentage that enjoys Win8.1 lol) but I only have one flash drive. I have the .iso file on it (and key written elsewhere) but would adding things I need to bring back on the machine like essential documents and what not onto the flash drive mess with anything (say like, corrupt the .iso or instillation somehow)? Sorry if I'm being stupid about this, I've never done this type of thing before. Only have installed an OS on a different PC with a fresh hard drive.
  9. Well I wasn't specifically meaning just 4-way SLI but it was one of the larger points I was trying to make since it seemed the most obvious. Yeah though seems it has something to do with either games being rushed or inefficient rendering and what not.
  10. yeah i suppose you're right lol, come to think of it that was a pretty dumb question for me to ask
  11. So, how do games like Watch Dogs for example (a game iirc that is "poorly optimized") not support certain setups? Like is there some type of code inside of the games files that tell the computer to utilize certain things on the GPU or to use all the graphic power to bump the game up properly? Is it a difficult thing for the people making the game to code (or w/e) in how to utilize all graphics cards on the market that people will have and to use... say if someone had 4-way SLI on GTX 980's to use all of those or to use all of them properly? I remember watching one of Linus' videos the other day about 4K with four GTX 980's and it was really wonky. What's up with that? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I've been wondering and couldn't quite find the answer to it through a simple search so I thought I'd ask here.
  12. I actually really like that carbon fiber style on the Extreme version. I would probably buy one of the Zotac cards for a GTX 970 I plan to buy in a few months but they're a bit pricy. If I were to win a GTX 980 I'd be one happy mfing camper. Good luck to everyone on the giveaway.
  13. Ohh that actually would make sense. Thanks.
  14. Hopefully this is the correct forum to be posting this topic on but it seems correct. Anyways, I came across "Wired Network Adapters" on pcpartpicker.com when making some random overkill build list for fun. It was essentially the only part I didn't know really know much of anything about, and deemed it unnecessary so I never gave it much attention until now as I'm just curious. I looked up some of them on Newegg.com and they have multiple ethernet ports? I remember seeing someone buy one of these but I think it was for a server, my memory could be failing me here but IDK. What is the purpose they serve?
  15. I'm going to guess 'Windows'
  16. That's completely different. The Nike logo has become more of a fashion statement when it comes to their shirts/sweaters, etc. That badly-colored logo that is much different than the previous one which people obviously liked more than this one, may in technicality be a "fashion statement" but not in the context we're talking about. The majority doesn't like it - you know this already.
  17. As many others here, I am glad they listened and took initiative to change the logo back. That new one was ugly as all hell.
  18. Oh alright awesome. Thank you for the clarification on that. I'll make sure to list them instead of using a hyperlink, I thought that would just make the post a bit cleaner.
  19. Right now I have all my parts purchased besides the GPU. I'm looking for a good card to get with my current PSU, mostly that's what I'm concerned about. I'm going to be using a Corsair Builder 500W (here). Origionally I planned to get an ACX GTX 760 but recently I've found that I have a bit more money to spend but not a whole lot more and am willing to just go for a GTX 770 instead. Though I figured I should use a wattage calculator to see if the card would have trouble, according to some different calculators it wouldn't, to some it would have trouble. I don't fully understand. When I read about the 770 I heard something being thrown around that the PSU needs something rails, and personally that's one of the few things I never looked into very much as I never felt the obligation to do so, but maybe this was a mistake. Here is the list of all the parts I have already purchased. I'll go as far down to anything you guys can recommend that can at the least handle 1080p games at a medium/high setting, but I want to get a 770, 760, or 750Ti depending on how much my PSU can handle. (Edit: I should have mentioned, I realize I have a CPU meant to be overclocked but if I can just get a good card but not have the ability to OC I'm completely fine with this)
  20. Oh right thanks. I'll make sure to note that just in case
