Epic Wink's Achievements

  1. Unicode's been mainstream for at least 25 years. If it takes 100s of hours in dev ti,e to support this, then it's not the emojis that are the issue
  2. I am fairly confident OP doesn't know what they're talking about and is inciting anger via misleading
  3. Cheap, and I have so much more control over pretty much anything on my phone. In addition, Android has better integrations with my PC
  4. OpenSSH is an implementation of SSH, and is used everyday by millions of people. I use SCP rarely: it has no optimisation on utilisation of connections, and is generally vastly inferior to uploading your data to a storage server (eg AWS S3) and downloading it at the other end, all using HTTPS
  5. As a software developer, there would have to be a huge incentive for me to go off intel. A lot of the developer community would have to make a great push to support AMD, even though they use the same instruction set. Things like JavaScript and (pure) Python shouldn't be too much of an issue, but there is an insane amount of precompiled libraries out there (which I use everyday) which have too many issues with non-Intel. This is ultimately the biggest roadblock AMD will have
  6. Spotify's discovery is atrocious compared to Youtube recommends or Pandora. Maybe that'll improve in the future, as I preferred Pandora when it was available (not anymore in Australia)
  7. "Network connection or not"? Bit hard to send data when you don't have internet If they're just going to use apport for this, this won't affect me, as apport always breaks my apt on my system so I have to forcefully remove it
  8. You realise that the AMD64 (or more commonly x86-64) instruction set is basically the 64-bit version of the Intel-created x86 instruction set? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/X86-64
