I think I got the hang of it now though. I got the feeling that the game really did not want me to kill the princess, so of course that's exactly what I did.

"Hello?" You hear a voice shout.

the child comes out from behind the tree. She is a pretty girl with long curly brown hair and light brown eyes. You can tell she is a princess but also a warrior as she is wearing hunting leathers.

 

> You ready your bow to attack and ask what they are doing in the woods.
You look at the bow and quiver on the ground next to her and think. "She is clearly a Princess but I am a ranger so I can't kill her."
the princess collapses from exhaustion and hunger.
You think about attacking her but decide you can't because you have to feed your Ghoul. You decide to leave her alive for the night and kill her after feeding your Ghoul on the second day.
a tree branch falls on to the unconscious princess killing her instantly.
You go to your horse and grab some rations from the bag. You eat a small amount but leave the rest for your Ghoul.

 

> You flee deeper in to the woods.
You continue walking deeper into the woods as you think about the girl. "Should I have attacked her?" You think to yourself.

 

> You go back to the princess to see if she had any valuables.
You arrive back at the place where you found the princess and look around. You see that she has left the hunting leathers but the bow is still on the ground where she dropped it.

 

> You pick up the bow.
You pick up the bow and sling it over your shoulder. You then search the princess for valuables but find nothing except for her hunting leathers and a short sword which you take.

 

> You use the short sword to commit suicide.
You draw your sword and plunge it into your chest repeatedly as you cry out.
You bleed all over yourself and fall to the ground. Your Ghoul arrives and stands above you watching you bleed out. "Finally free".

I wonder how long the story would actually go on for if you roleplay properly?

it will go on forever if you really wanted it to. you could have continued as a ghost and spend the next 10 years haunting your ghoul for fun and it would just roll with it.

It continues forever?
In the cyberpunk playthrough after I killed the shadow I went back to my apartment and there was a box with a camera in it waiting for me. I threw it in the bin and then it said I had reached the end of my adventure and if I tried to continue it just said like "Thanks for playing" and "I hope you enjoyed the adventure" etc.

i think the other scenarios other than Fantasy can end since they are currently experimental, but surely it could continue if you chose the right actions. Fantasy has had the most training, i've never had it just cut a story off because i got to the end. Unless they have programmed in endings now

edit: looks like there are some ending scenarios that it will just randomly pick sometimes based on the wording of the previous action, interesting
