  1. Dbrand making false promises and selling cases for ridiculous prices. People are #mad
  2. If it doesn't have 8 pin CPU connector, I would get rid of it. No matter what it is, this sounds like a dodgy PSU
  3. In this scenario you would want to use a copper mesh to absorb the solder from the board. On the other hand, are there tracers going to the empty holes on the other mobo? Just to make sure there is something to connect to...
  4. Some pictures would help. Sounds like a pump issue to be honest. Make sure its plugged in properly and running.
  5. So today my current monitor went kaput. I sat down, had a good thought and made an executive decision to purchase a high-end monitor instead of a cheap one. My main requirements are 34" UW 1440p IPS 144Hz+ Price up to a 1000 euros. Location - EU. Amazon, Caseking are my main options. Any good suggestions? I went with a cheaper Gigabyte monitor and paid for it. Less than a year in it broke down. There are other issues with it like the light bleed and a few minor ones. So I would like a decent option like LG (I used LG ultrawides before and they were all great) But there are so many options, and since I haven't been following them for a while, it gets fairly confusing.
  6. Interesting observation. This is where I left my LTT Forum open with pure blue image from my post above. That place now is more visible compared to others. While white color is displayed perfectly. I'll try keeping pure white and see what that does. I don't think I can make matters worse for myself
  7. So today I was going about my day when suddenly I noticed a horizontal line of dead pixels going across the monitor. Most visible on blue. It gets less and less noticeable closer to the right side of the monitor. But still visible for 3/4 of the length. Is there any other possible solution other than Gigabyte RMA? Or should I rather get a monitor from a reputable brand? Its not even a year old. Bought in late November last year from Caseking. EDIT: Monitor in question is gigabyte m34wq
  8. I would saw yes, its too big. I've experienced it first hand. Before I had 34" 1080p UW monitor. Some games looked fine, others looked like trash. But when I switched to 1440p UW monitor of the same size, everything changes. Every game now looks amazing, resolution is crispy, no pixels are visibly.
  9. Most modern GPUs have 0 fan mode where fans don't spin until GPU reaches 50-60c
  10. Unless you're doing some wild out of this world overclocking, using a single 8pin is just fine.
  11. Most attachments got re-worked. Some of them works completely different than before. They cut number of vehicles for most maps, added VoIP and a metric ton of additional sliders/UI options for making every possible UI element/Player icon bigger, smaller, less visible, any RGB color you want etc. The biggest change was improvements to mouse aiming. Oh boy, does it feel good now.
  12. I don't see a reason to get RAM and PSU now. As I said, I'm planning a major system overhaul in 2023, I just need a CPU that is a little more powerful until then. My current EVGA 750 GQ is perfectly capable of running what I have. RTX3080 consumes 350W at peak load, 9900k should be around 200w MAX if I overclock it a bit. Lets just say rest of my system: x5 Silent wing fans, few LED strips, motherboard and x3 SSDs eat a whopping 100W. I still have 100W of headroom. As for the RAM, why? I'm perfectly fine with 16GBs that I have now. So whats the point of getting more DDR4, if I will be going for DDR5 quite soon.
  13. Hi all So currently I have 8700k @5Ghz running in my Asus Prime-A Z370 for over 2 years right now. I was thinking putting 9900k in that board, possibly overclocking it SLIGHTLY. My reason is this - I'm playing mainly BF2042, and that game hates CPUs. 8700k is just barely cutting it for high FPS. 9900k would give me much needed boost for relatively low upgrade cost (I can get brand new for 200 euros). I'm not doing a full rig upgrade right now. Will wait until new hardware comes out, then go shopping full tilt when I know I have $$$ to play with. New CPU/RAM/BM, all the fun stuff. For know though, what you think?
  14. I would leave an SSD like that, not a mechanical drive though. It can create vibrations, move around the case which can easily kill it.
  15. Hopefully you're right. It just seems weird to ditch RedEngine when its perfectly working engine, designed for Witcher games. Working on a new AAA project using 3rd party software could prove difficult.
  16. Fortnite is a cartoon style game running on UE. Same as Battllefield Heroes that ran on Refractor engine back the day. UE is a demo piece used to show ultra realistic, super high resolution clips under the title of "Future of gaming". Every single game that has been developed on UE is as indy game. I think there is a reason why studios spend piles of money developing their own engines, instead of using free ones like UE.
  17. It will a little more that current 5800x. But B550 and decent set of DDR4 will cost ALOT less than a Z690 and 16 gigs of any DDR5. Its your call though. I'm just saying what I would do. Currently also planning upgrading from 8700k to 5800X3D when it comes out.
  18. Seeing UE5 means 2 things: 1 Hyper realistic graphics that require alien technology to run smoothly 2 Clunky and unresponsive gameplay.
  19. Buying 12600 and upgrading to Z690 DDR5 seems wasteful. Next month AMD releases R7 5800X3D, which they say rivals 12900k. You can very well wait just a bit, and buy 5800X3D with some decent B550 board. Not sure what RAM you have right now, but you can possibly use that with the new parts.
  20. My experience, so far, has been amazing. Battery on this thing is wild. I fully charged it after purchasing, and I'm still on 78% while writing this. Been using it for around 5 hours every single day, with brightness set to 100%. That's about 1% per hour. I'm highly enjoying low profile keys. My wrist feels much more comfortable. Even with wrist rest, K95 didn't feel as comfortable. Something just feel right for me. Plastic feels much nicer compared to K95. Being wireless is just a cherry on top.
  21. @RavendaratSo I ended up getting G915 today from local hardware store at a fair price. So far its a solid board. I have to get used to lower profile, finders still trying to press hard on the keys to push them further, but that's just a matter of muscle memory. Lighting is super solid. I like that its less "in your face" as is K95 where light shines from every crack. But it still impressive and good looking. I got tactile silent keys so my wife can sleep in peace now (K95 had MX Blues). And I also bought open back headphones, so I was hearing my keyboard too much for my liking. One thing I don't really understand is this mini USB to USB dongle. Does it do anything besides acting as adaptor for the receiver? Or can I just plug the receiver into the back of my monitor and not use the dongle? If you have any questions, feel free to ask. At last, my setup upgrade is complete
  22. I also have my entire cooling and lighting controlled by iCue, but those profiles and fans curves are already setup and saved, so I don't have to touch them anymore. I'm most likely getting G915. Have very positive experience with Logitech customer support in the past. And my G502 Lightspeed works like a charm, so if the keyboard is as high quality as the mouse, I should be fine.
  23. How are the keys? I've heard keycaps are somewhat low quality. Also, how do they feel compared to normal size keys?
