  1. you should be surprised how much the WAN show can help you about buying cars of food
  2. ahhhh i love that profile pic for my digital design class i photoshopped it
  3. illegal activities? like hacking a major corp. or something?
  4. use newegg, its where i get all my parts and its common for them to have a sale for useful stuff. they are definitely going to have a 280, and if you are only buying one thing, just choose 8 day shipping and shipping will be cheap (i got 8 day shipping for my rig when i was ordering it and for some reason, the case and monitor came in 2 days and the rest came in 3 days, though i only paid for 8 day ) also if you are OC'ing get the 280 from a manufacturer who gives good cooling fans on the card, also invest in some other fans in your case
  5. I knew I would eventually find SOMEONE on the forums with your picture and username
  6. don't think i haven't tried that already...
  7. in "#color" you can change the "height" variable to 200px to cover the whole image
  8. I like the specs and I would probably put a desktop equivalent in my rig, but the price is a bit much. the most i would be willing would be like $65 (i know that really limits things) but thanks for giving me that link, i could use it later on. also, if you guys argue, i would get better and better suggestions eventually just wondering, what is the performance difference between an SSHD and a normal 7200rpm HDD? how about against an SSD I especially like the first one and I might consider it, but the storage is a bit low and considering I ate up 100GB in the first few months i had my laptop (i do programming and general messing around), 120GB seems like a little bit but it looks REALLY GOOD so thanks a lot. I've heard that once you go SSD, you never go back. aaand, if i ever want to replace the laptop storage again, than i could add it to my rig its also good because if i limit my messing around to my rig, then i could just keep school stuff on it and the storage would definetely not be a problem. also, i looked at your dream PC specs and.... not to brag or anything....just check out my rig in my profile...
  9. I am a bit new to the forums (though i have been a fan quite a while) so I didn't know whether to put this in tech help or not, because I am mostly looking for suggestions. A few months ago, my shaky school laptop's hardrive (i didn't really care for the computer because i did everything else on my rig) really messed up because of them bad sectors (it fell a few times and it shook a lot). Anyway, the hard drive is basically unusable and I am looking for another cheap hard drive that I am going to install Linux on (looking at Fedora or maybe Ubuntu, looking at derivatives like Xubuntu). So, I am starting to look on Newegg for good solid hard drives and I am requesting that maybe some of you fellow geeks can suggest something so the research workload can be lifted a bit. The laptop's old hard drive (HITACHI 320GB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s) was 3.94 in. * 2.75 in. with a height of 7 mm Since I bought a WD Blue 500GB for my rig (see in profile maybe) and it hasn't failed me (yet), I thought about this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236498 So I would really appreciate it if you guys gave some good suggestions because I have to buy soon. also if you are going to recommend an SSD than don't bother because i am not willing to spend that kind of money, unless its under $70 which limits choices a lot... also i dont now if moving it to "computer hardware" discussion is good also also, feel free to argue with each other because i want a really good deal
  10. i hope your just trying to be funny - _ -
  11. hmmm, I can run Metro Last Light with 8gb memory, i3 3220, and factory overclocked 660 on almost highest settings, the only thing i can't max is AA which i can only run at 2x so i dunno if its THAT demanding.. but star citizen look craazzzzyy
  12. who cares, put up a download i wanna see it
  13. You know, with Java, I could just very tediously write all my code in one huge line, so technically i would only use 1 line
  14. Once, someone asked me how to to boot off Ubuntu Live USB. I opened the BIOS on their computer and the person beside me yelled, "HE'S HACKING OH MY GOD HE PUT A VIRUS ON THAT COMPUTER!!" I didn't even try to explain BIOS to him...
