I haven't even paid attention to the crazy prices of these new cards. I paid $220 for my RX 570 4GB back in 2017 so I plan to keep it for a while. 

That is a pretty bad price hike, but the performance is there so it's hard to say no for those wanting that level of performance, hopefully AMD delivers, though that's about as likely as apple making macOS open source.
