Note: Benchmark results are based on high performance models, other models with default 15w power limit will perform worse

 

Strong single core performance. iGPU needs high speed RAM to perform well. Also, there are some driver related+visual bugs.

 

Some said Intel didn't want to do 6/8 core for Tiger Lake U bcoz of high power draw (mesh architecture not optimized for more than 4 cores?). Power efficiency is still behind AMD's 7nm, despite the improvement...

    mesh? Intel's using mesh from 6 to whatever max core count they produce now (skylake-x and successors), you mean ring? But Intel has ring up to 10 cores now as well...

     

    imo it's just yield problem, it's not profitable to make a bigger die and there's no room after incorporating a large iGPU like that in it.

    I don't think large iGPU is an excuse when Ryzen can do it (by cutting L3 cache)

    Renoir's GPU size is much smaller in proportion, while Picasso and Raven Ridge are both 4 cores max. You can look up die shots for these
