Here are my early thoughts on RTX laptops after looking at several reviews (focusing on performance+thermals):

1. 2080MQ thin and lights are toasters. Yet the GPU performs just slightly better than a 1070MQ. If that's the case, why don't just go for 2060? Much cheaper. I believe 2070MQ has similar behavior too. This also confirms my early prediction where 2070MQ/2080MQ is a joke

2. 2080 'normal sized' laptop (eg MSI GE75) runs a bit hot with some throttling. Bulkier ones (eg MSI GT75) can handle just fine. 2070 will run hot in those chassis that cannot handle 1070 well (eg Asus GL504)

I'm really curious about the Acer Predator line up. My current "full size" 1070 in the Helios 500 sits on full load around 70ish degrees on Turbo mode. Really curious if the 2070 would perform worse.

i mean.. 2080 is basically a 1080ti. what did you expect from thermals?
