  1. video encoder? nvenc? qsv? x264? encoder preset? fast? veryfast? superfast?
  2. that still does not explain why the PC won't even POST with the card installed. operating system has nothing to do with POST, ya know? you tried 3 other graphics cards and your pc works with none of them? but it works with your old GTX275? thats odd
  3. OBS alone can put that CPU to 100% depending on your settings what settings are you using?
  4. was it 60? i thought it was 64 ... might have got that wrong. 8x is still ok tho
  5. most capture cards have 2 HDMI ports (IN & OUT) for pass thru
  6. how about 4 gamers 1 CPU threadripper edition - every player would get like 4c/8t and a GTX 1080ti on a full 16x connection ... if done right, this system should be able to kick ass and chew bubblegum x4
  7. cool, you went from a turd to a polished turd ... i hope it was cheap anyways ... have you been able to test the card before getting it? are you able to put the card in another computer at the moment and see if it gives you any picture on that computer ?
  8. they would have to get creative to make another WW2 game that still feels fresh. the most poplular battles have been beaten to death already. game-as-a-service? oh that would be great. instead of spending a whopping $60 every year on a game that feels like a repaint of the previous, you can get a half baked single player episode and a new weapon skin every month for the low subscription fee of only $9.99. seriously now, i think monthly subscriptions and selling a game as single episodes is BS. i don't like it and i try to avoid such games when i can. well, i would be interested in a game that covers the US civil war... but not if it's CoD ...
  9. agree. NCS is a good place to start for electronic music speaking of electronic music you might also like Retnik Beats if you are lookin for some trap / rap stuff
  10. who said it's a failure? never heard that. what i heard was that vega 56 trades blows with the 1070 in gaming performance depending on the game with neither card being a clear winner. the higher power consumtion and heat output plus crazy pricing might make the vega cards look worse in the FPS per Watt and FPS per $ chart tho.
  11. then i guess the cheapest will do. the cheapest i bought was a single mushkin 8gb stick and that system works fine as far as i can tell.
  12. this happened to me last weekend when i was streaming and talking on TS. only noticed that something wasn't right AFTER i finished streaming and looked at a recording of the stream. the guys on TS could at least have told me that i come in way too loud and distorted. in my case it was not a usb mic, i have my mic on a preamp wich is connected to the line level input on the mainboard. don't know what caused it tho ... i set the volume back to 50% and it has not changed again yet but i will keep an eye on it.
  13. looks like a proprietary connector as found on many digital cameras maybe olympus? camera manufacturers LOVE to put some stupid special form factor usb connector on their cameras instead of a standard mini or micro connector this is what my nikon uses their excuse to be such dicks is that this cable can also have video out but then i have a mini usb cable with analog stereo audio on it so mono audio + video should be doable over mini usb as well - so why expensive special cables?
  14. but why? it's only a 14" ... and windows scaling sucks
  15. you did ... well, kind of ... that lead me to believe you are planning on actually using adobe premiere - for wich you would need to buy either a subscription or the regular one time payment
  16. exactly. with all the effort microsoft took to get everybody and their dog to upgrade to windows 10 ... you think they will now give you a reason stay on your old OS and still use the latest hardware?
  17. but buying a higher rated cheap PSU to make up for not getting the rated wattage is not the way to go either ... you might have enough headroom now but still don't get all the important protection features. i'd take a 400W quality PSU over a 500W no name PSU any day
  18. that was pretty much what i was talking about ...
  19. me too. there is so much you could have legitimately done to build a black PC ... ... so much that would NOT have included a white case when you really wanted a black one anyways (though i dig that super not-glossy look) ... so much that would NOT have included illuminated fans and ram modules - black fans are a thing and so is ram with good looking black heatspreaders ... so much that would NOT have included PAINTING A FUCKING MOTHERBOARD and killing it in the process. seriously, WHY??? taking a spin on a seemingly not so poplular concept is one thing and can be interesting if done right. turning that concept into a parody? really? now i want to see an all white build but without any paint involved and without any hardware harmed or killed in the process. thanks
  20. for real? how can a 2nd gen celeron be expensive? that i3 i mentioned hardly has any resell value today (as far as ebay.de is concerned) otherwise i would just have sold it and not even bother to get a new board for it. but when i consider how much i originally paid for it, i don't really want to sell it for like 15 bucks or less.
  21. same here. i have an i3 3550 here but no board to put it in. a solution might be to get the cheapest sandy bridge CPU you can possibly find (a crappy celeron will do) use that to update the bios and then put your ivy bridge i5 in
  22. looks can be decieving, this thing has space for a little bit of everything (including 2x 120mm fans in the front)
  23. agree on the tank-ness. one does not simply wreck a thinkpad by accident. if you break a thinkpad, it was probably on purpose. i would go with more CPU horsepower over more ram any day tho. because i can shove in bigger drives and more ram later if i feel like it but changing a CPU in a laptop is not something you do on a friday afternoon.
