  1. i never said you should buy cheap power supplies compared to total system cost the power supply is always cheap so just buy a higher wattage one so you dont have to exchange it in the future Also EVERY Power Supply will be more silent on 50% load than on 100%
  2. 50% load is always Peak efficiency
  3. Overhead for the future is never a mistake and PSUs cost near to nothing Linus isnt always right
  4. Go for 1440p 144hz or 1080p 240 hz
  5. thats not BS thats best practice
  6. What are the specs ur going for (GPU and CPU)?
  7. Dont use that graphics card... it will perform worse than ur CPUs IGP ( Vega 11)
  8. lol these are terrible suggestions... get him a machine with a nice ips screen (important for photo editing) Something like a Zenbook or new HP-Pavillion
  9. I would recommend a 60hz freesync (xBox supports it now) 4k panel
  10. you also dont need more than 60hz for a console even 30hz should make no difference
  11. 4k (true) HDR, 120Hz refresh rate = 2000$ +
  12. Boot Linux on an usb stick and test if the same issue presists. You can rule out if its a Software or Hardware problem this way without reinstalling.
  13. Reseat everything and try again Its quite possible u got a loose connection on some of the components
