144hz all the way. If you want surround try to go for a 144hz surround setup. The smoothness of 144hz is amazing, once you get used to it, 60fps gameplay looks like a choppy pile of shit.

I don't care about what user interface he prefers, it doesnt make the OS better. 8/10 is built better, therefore windows 7 can't be better than the OS. Opinions has nothing to do with it.

those are completely different things. a faster gpu/cpu would be the better product. and as of right now. intel IS better than AMD. And for flagship carsd, Nvidia has the faster card than AMD. For windows, 7 has the older build, so its not better than 10.

Opinion? It's not a matter of opinion. Windows 8 was better built than the previous OS. It's a matter of facts, windows 8 is better built, thats all there is to it. Opinions have no place in deciding the superior product. It's not like the difference between iOS and Android, its like the difference between Android 2.3 and Android 5.0.

Not really. Windows 8 is ACTUALLY better built than windows 7. Windows 8 has many under the hood improvements over the previous OS, its not a matter of opinion. Windows 7 is the inferior OS between the two.

You're way of looking at things is biased because you know of nothing other than capitalist societies. Everything you need would be provided by the government. Why would you want to own private property if the government provides everything for you, people who do more society will gain recognition from the government, way more than the people will in capitalist society. Build up? That's also a flaw. It's been shown many times that people who have all the resources at their disposal is more likely to be successful, and those in middle or low class will stay middle or low class, because they don't have the resources to go up. Now there are exceptions to this, but it doesn't apply to 99% of people. That 1% is the millionaires and billionaires that started from scratch, and then their children become millionaire/billionaire because their parents worked hard. All that does is create social classes, which results in conflict. Communism gets rid of that.

You are the moron if you don't know what communism is. It's the idea of a perfect society where everyone is equal and happy. If nobody has to compete for things nobody has to fight. The concept called communism has never been realized because of greedy leaders. And most people. 60 is very choppy, not as choppy as 30 or 24, but 60fps gameplay is not smooth.

Are you kidding me? I don't see 970 pushing 144fps on max settings @1080p, 60fps game is choppy, that should not be a standard, standard should be 100fps+

Color only makes a difference when you're actually doing things that requires all those colors. It will make no difference in gaming. Most people won't be able to tell apart an IPS from a TN when sitting in front of it.

Why would IPS be the only way, there isn't a point of purposely getting an inferior experience. And that "better color" argument doesn't even stand. Even a fully calibrated IPS monitor won't make a difference while gaming.

No matter what IPS monitor you get, it won't be better than TN for gaming. It's better to get a nice TN panel than any kind of IPS.

Yes I have a properly calibrated IPS screen, I have both a ASUS PA248Q and a BenQ XL2420Z. if you compare the monitors side by side, and inspect it carefully you can see that the asus has better colors, but while you're playing a game, or just look at it side by side without careful inspection, the color difference isnt noticable. The noticable thing is colorshift, If i turn my head too much to the side the colors start to fade out on the benq. IPS doesn't make it any more immersive, if anything gaming on IPS pisses me off because all the stutter that comes with IPS monitors. Even if I set the XL2420Z to 60hz its noticeably smoother.

A wider camera angle? If the ratio changed, camera angles might change, But resolution change doesn't give a big change in camera angles. The IPS color difference isn't noticeable while gaming. If anything the light bleed from IPS monitors make it less immersive.

There's a difference between dictatorship and communism. They just happen to go together most of the time. Communism as a concept is a perfect government, just that it always turns into to a dictatorship and has never succeeded.

Um yes i was referring to gaming. Higher resolution is better for everything, but for gaming, i coudln't tell the difference between a 720p display and a 1080p display. Now if you ran 720p on a 1080p screen, I could tell, but running at native resolution, I can't tell.
