TL;DR "Under a policy unanimously approved by owners, NFL players and personnel have the option not to take the field for the national anthem, but those who do must stand."

I have mixed feelings about this.  On one hand, they are still allowing players to "kneel" per se, just not on camera.  At the same time, this encourages every individual football team of players to do the same thing, because showing reasonable solidarity is important when in comes to being a team.

it's well balanced decision i think . not too harsh nor too soft. both sides gets to express their beliefs, team policy is upto them , it's just personal politics to each individual at this point. nothing changes protest or no protest, except news churning.

I think that's a happy medium; it's a touchy subject given the current political climate and it gives players the option to peacefully protest without offending anyone.

It's a reasonable solution, but it's too little too late in my opinion. The damage has been long done.

@Tech_Dreamer @Java @TheSLSAMG Meanwhile, people on r/DenverBroncos are shitting on me for not being okay with the kneeling the players have been doing. :(

Gah, I wouldn't worry about that.  They're just random people over the internet; the second you have a differing opinion any mob will shit on ya.

Whatever,  kneeling at the National Anthem is an asshole thing to do.

@LordOTaco By kneeling, they're basically saying "F**k America".  My response will always be, "If you dislike our country to the point of hatred, then why are you still here?"

The biggest gripe I have about it is that they act like they are the ones being oppressed you know with their +1 Million dollar paychecks to play a sport and get jacked.

Well I'd rather people protest that way than riot or block traffic.

Simple solution, They should hire Fergie to sing the anthem every time, Those who are patriotic would stand through it & those who show up to just kneel will be gone rather than stay enduring that shit.
