AMD equivalent to the 4670k?
hadesjoy72 replied to TheMidnightNarwhal's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Nothing at this time unless you are involved with editing or heavy multi tasking programs. Gaming not so much.....with that said, my 8350 does well in most titles.. -
8350 to answer your post OP.....it will run fine with a 280. You see, its very simple. In fact I feel foolish explaining this to you as I know you would have found it eventually....When the quotient of pi exceeds the variables put forth with...yeah...i said forth with you get the quantum perplexity of 2.36, given that the ambient is 4, you get 7.453. If you follow the logical path that this provides, you will end up at the inevitable conclusion that the R9 280, being a 7950 in new skin, can cope with the 8350, which is clocked at 4.0GHz.. Thank you and have a good day B) :P As you can see, I am a AMD user and at this point, for what I do, am very content with my rig. When Zen rolls out, hopefully it will put AMD back in the running, as competition is good for business. Good luck with whatever you choose and happy gaming

Minzo, think about it....all the little kids who build these monitors for us. They are depending on you to buy a new monitor every so often (and new components from time to time). Do YOU want to be the one to have them thrown off the assembly line....I think not. SO....tell the girlfriend, "Stop woman ...i will help these children and buy a new monitor!!!" Or, if you wanna be all ninja-like , buy one...leave it on the doorstep with a "Congratulations you won" card, and say you won it in a contest....then say "Oh no, someone took my card, I don't know where it is...." Either way, you'll get a new monitor...win, win....so you lose out on a couple nights of carnal pleasure....use that time to break in the new monitor

Sapphire 290X Vapor X.... Hear the MSI Lightning is pretty decent...just been using Sapphire so long (since the 5000 series cards) so I'm kinda partial.
-
You already have Intel...no need to buy a new mobo, cpu, etc. Upgrade to a Z77 chip if you need to.... For example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-3570K-3-4-GHz-Quad-Core-BX80637I53570K-Processor-/131501860551?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e9e1f26c7
-
No issues....its an upgrade from what you had.
-
Take a breath.....take a look at this and tick off everything. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/42440-readme-how-to-respond-to-a-no-post-or-no-power-up-situation/

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005O65JXI?tag=pcpapi-20&pldnSite=1 Hyper 212 it is.....

You should have an 8 pin (4+4) cable for your CPU. This will split into two 4s...plug it into the header on your mobo....this provides power to the CPU....
-
That is a ton o' memory....hope it helps with Frogger As stated, same timings and speed should be good.
-
Also, please don't huff the spray, as this will lead to you attempting to re-install your GPU in your toaster....

Gainward 670 high temperatures - how do I clean it?
hadesjoy72 replied to Jon newbie's topic in Graphics Cards
Not so much complicated as potentially detrimental to your GPU if not performed correctly. Just included to give you an overview of what's involved. If attempted in the future, just ensure that you are not standing in water doing this on carpet during an electrical storm
